I will be staying at a WDW resort before going on DCL from Port Everglades next year. Is there Disney transportation available between Disney resorts and Port Everglades on the day of departure? Meaning, similar to what is available to get to Port Canaveral from Disney resorts, but to Port Everglades.

Not that I'm aware of.

Not so far as I am aware of. Your best bet may be taking the new Brightline train from MCO to Miami.

PC is an hour away.

Port Everglades is 3+ hours. Disney has never offered regular transport from the resort to Miami/FLL.

Train and plane require transfers at both ends. I suppose rental car does too, but more of a known quantity.
When $$$'s are involved, most calculations suggest that 3+ people should usually go in a rental vehicle; solo should take train or plane.

I am biased against air travel for shorter trips as TSA, intra-terminal transportation, and the FAA seem to come up with delays almost randomly. Brightline doesn't have enough of a "track' record to determine what pctg of their trains are more.than 1 or 3hrs late. Either way, plan for the greater than 10% possibility of significant delays.

Or go the day before by automobile, take your time and do some touring along the way. Lake Okeechobee, West Palm Beach, etc. Have fun and be safe.

It's worth mentioning that the train doesn't actually go to the port. It goes to a station in the middle of Fort Lauderdale and then you have to find your own transportation to the cruise port. You'd also have to find a way back to MCO to get the train, but I guess you're probably going to have to do that anyway.

If I were doing this, I would take rideshare to MCO. Catch Brightline to Fort Lauderdale. Their Brightline+ program provides transportation to Port Everglades. (Or just get a rideshare).

Depending on your cruise date, check out this special:

Brightline+ is a so-called rideshare (Uber, actually) and it's not free.

We have used the complimentary transfers - once it was a Sprinter van, the other a large golf-cart jitney. We did not have to pay extra. That said, the website Is saying it comes Premium class tickets.

I am not providing full details - just pointing readers in the direction where they can look at options. I would like to believe this forum is just an idea generator. We fellow travelers are not providing travel agent advice, just our opinions. Experiences may vary.

Happy Thanksgiving, Kwami.

Those shuttles are only available to certain destinations, though. The website says that they go back to FLL, but not to the cruise terminal. Otherwise, you can get an Uber to anywhere within 5 miles of the station with a premium ticket, but the cruise terminal seems to be outside of the 5-mile radius circle on the website. If you don't have a premium ticket, then you have to pay regardless of distance.

Happy Thanksgiving, Kwami.
You, too!
