We have extended our vacation so we will be arriving one day earlier than expected. Now I'm trying to decide where to eat that day. We have 3 girls who are 5, 3 and will be 8 months and we are doing 6 full days in the parks but do not have park hopper, we are not opposed to traveling to one of the resorts for our meal that day though. We will be at Magic Kingdom so preferably something that we could go by boat or monorail. The rest of the week looks like this

Sunday- This is the one I'm not sure about
Monday-Epcot/Akershus for an early dinner
Tuesday-AK/Tusker House for lunch
Wednesday-MK/CRT for dinner
Thursday-DHS/we will go to downtown disney for dinner at probably either Wolfgang puck or earl of sandwich
Friday-MK/Crystal Palace
Saturday-Lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe before leaving

Our original plan was to do Chef Mickey's on the first day but the only reservation I have been able to get is 8:55 pm which is pretty late for us. So any recommendations?

ETA- My girls and I are pretty adventurous eaters, we enjoy variety. My husband likes pretty basic things like burgers, steak, fries, fried chicken. He is not an adventerous eater at all.

You may want to check out 1900 Park Fare. The characters are so funny!!! We loved it!!!

I'm just looking at that and it looks like we can get in for either breakfast or dinner at a reasonable time. Would you consider the dinner characters better than the breakfast? My girls are definitely all about the princesses but of course we are already doing 2 princess meals (not that they probably wouldn't be up for a 3rd). I don't know that they know Alice in Wonderland that well, I'll have to ask them.

I was going to suggest Chef Mickey's but 8:55 pm is pretty late.

What about 'Ohana at the Poly?

Or maybe Tony's in the MK? You can give the girls' autograph books to your server, & he/she will take them to the kitchen so that Lady & the Tramp can sign them. ;)

Or 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian is good choice too!

We've only been to 1900 Park Fare for dinner, so I'm not sure what breakfast is like. Our daughter (age 5) loved Prince Charming and the step-sisters were really funny! They had the entire dining room laughing! We've also been to Akershus. The food is better at Akershus, but the characters are better at 1900 Park Fare. If you're wanting different characters, O'hana for breakfast would be a great option.

1900 Park Fare for dinner is some of my favorite character interaction with Cinderella and Prince Charming....Ahhhhh....Prince Charming..... I thought the step-sisters were hilarious. It is also a nice excuse to visit GF. Listening to the orchestra in the lobby is delightful. I love the monorail resort restaurants so I would consider one of those. AKL is nice to visit too and see the animals. We enjoyed Boma there. I now love Jiko.

1900 Park Fare!!! Our favorite breakfast and I think we are going to try the dinner this time...

Find something that u r ok with and then about a week b4 check back 4 chef mickey's because with that cancellation policy people r cancelling way ahead in advance [i wanted an 8 am breakfast ADR but had 2 settle 4 7:25 am & the girl who booked the ADR's told me to do this]

1900 Park Fare was the first thing that came to mind. Also, Liberty Tree Tavern is a nice choice for people who aren't adventurous. Cinderella's Royal Table offers a nice balance as well.
