I am looking for a good resort TS meal that my daughters (8 and 9) will enjoy. We already have Chef Mickey's booked for one day but need something else for our Animal Kingdom day. Want to book a reservation around 7:30 or 8:00 pm. I was thinking about Ohana, but really don't know what all is out there!

Well, I love Ohana! But, if it is your Animal Kingdom day, why not consider the Animal Kingdom Lodge? For lunch, you could do Sanaa or for dinner, you could go with Boma or Jiko. If you are willing to consider ANY resort, I'm also a big fan of Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge, which is great for kids.

Good luck and have fun!

Ohana is the one I'd pick for sure. It is so good.

Others at resorts that we have tried & liked are Flying Fish, Artist Point & Calif Grill. Have tried several more signatures but liked those best. We've tried Boma, Yachmann's, Narcoossee's, Kona, Boatwright's, Cape May & others..but Ohana is still one of the top places to dine for us & stays yearly on the repeat list.

Ohana is a more laid back place & the food is awesome. Last time it tied as one of our very best meals of the trip....Flying Fish was tops too!

We loved Ohana's too but we are going to try 1900 Park Fare and Whispering Canyon this time  Both are new choices for us for supper :)

All good and there's also the Kona Cafe in the Polynesian.

I am a big advocate of eating where you will be to save precious time. Maybe try Boma at AK Lodge? Are you staying at a Disney resort? Maybe do the restaurant at the hotel if you are staying onsite?

What about Sanaa? Great atmosphere, food and reasonable prices. :thumbsup2

Normally I am like that too, but this is our day to leave the park early and do whatever. That's why I'm open to any resort. We are staying at Pop, so no TS options there. I can't decide between Ohana or Whispering Canyon now! None of the restaurants at AKL really apeal to me.

Another vote for 'Ohana! I went in December and had delicious food and a blast. I didn't have kids with me but the kids in the restaurant looked like they were having a fabulous time as well. One girl at a nearby table was not interested in any of the food options and the server brought her chicken fingers and fries from Capt Cooks. I thought that was nice.

We love 'Ohana! I have two girls (ages 15 and 12) and they've been going there since our first trip five years ago and wouldn't miss it. They now just roll their eyes at the coconut races, but when they were little, they ran right up!

If you're flexible with where you can/want to go, definitely go with O'hana. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere was wonderful. They have coconut broom races for kids, teach them Hawaiian dances, give them leis, etc. Lots of fun and tons of yummy food.

Of those last 2 you mentioned, I'd vote for 'Ohana (but only because you don't think you'll like Boma, one of our favs:0)
