need a replacement for our light switch cover - cant find

Any advice? Our house is 4 years old. We're trying to sell it and I am doing my best to make sure everything looks good. In the kitchen we have a light switch cover with a crack in it. The cover is white plastic and has three vertical toggles and 2 horizontal toggles. I have looked EVERYWHERE and cannot find a replacement. I've checked Lowes and Home Depot in person and have spent many hours searching online. I emailed the company that built the house but they are very slow to answer.

Any suggestions?

Look in your phone book under "electrical" and find a supply company that sells directly to contractors, they will sell to you as well, and they will have tons of stuff that Lowes and HOme Depot don't have.

No - we have three vertical toggles like that but also on the plate are two horizontal toggles.

Oh I've never seen that kind. I think PP's suggestion of an electrical company is probably more helpful for finding something as unique as that.

I believe you need a 3 combination 3 toggle 2 despard switchplate cover.. I found them online with 2 toogle/3 despard but I havent found the 3/2 yet

Find a REAL hardware store, like a mom and pop type place. If they don't have one they can probably order one for you. We have a WONDERFUL Ace Hardware store in town and they have yet to fail me on anything I need either by having it in the store or ordering what we need

If all else fails, put some contact paper that matches the room over the cover so it looks like it is supposed to be like that

I honestly wouldn't go out of my way to fix the switchplate. A crack in a switchplate wouldn't be a deciding factor for me. In fact, I probably wouldn't even notice!

But, have you tried Aco (if you have that store) or Ace? They have stuff you wouldn't THINK people could ever need!

If all else fails call, your builder. They will be able to tell you who the electrical contractor was on your house, who then will be able to tell where to get a replacement cover.
