Hello fellow Cruisers!!! We're doing the 5/17 Eastern and I have a dilema!! (sic)

We're flying into Orlando (MCO) early the day before and driving to the Radisson Resort at the Port. We want to rent a car so that we can visit Cape Canaveral and of course do the requisite pre-cruise beverage shopping. Is there a car return at the port? Which company has the best deals and the closest to the port returns? Thanks for all your help gang!

I patiently await your response!

Cruise on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey fellow 5/17 cruiser.....we always book from Avis at MCO and return it to the Radisson (about 1 mile or so from the port) which has an Avis drop off there. It also provides a free shuttle to the ship!!!

We always book online at www.avis.com and use a code found on www.mousesavers.com Check out the site and search for rental cars...then look for the current codes to use at Avis. We always spend between $47-60 for either a SUV or a minivan.

Also the Avis at the Radisson location code is P3F...you will need that if you book online!!!

A suggestion.....have the driver drop everyone off at the port with the luggage and the porters will take care of your bags. The driver can then return the car to Avis and hop the shuttle back to the port....it is easier to try and fit one person on the shuttle than a whole family with luggage.

While he/she is returning the car...the rest of the party can go start to check in and get in line. Make sure the driver has his/her cruise docs and I.D. with them to get back in the terminal.

BTW....the Radisson is a great resort...we have stayed there several times before our cruises. We usually hit Dunkin Donuts in the morning and have a lite breakfast since we like to save room for the embarkation buffet!!!! For dinner on Fri night the choices are great at either Kelsey's or Zacharary or Grills.

Here is pic of the pool area in case you have not seen it at the Radisson....it's a great tropical pool. Are you staying in the a reg room or suite...the rooms are nice but the suites are awesome!!!

We are flying down on the 17th this time so won't be staying at the Radisson the night before.
