Need a refresher on Magic Bands for split stays

Hello, have a trip coming up with a 3 hotel split stay (yup living out of my suitcase, LOL). Anyway, I do have magic bands on the way that are for the first hotel I am staying with (I've since cancelled some of the nights on that reservation). In the interim, I booked two separate reservations because of good rates which, obviously, start on day two and the last on day four. So, since all three stays are hooked up to MDE, will the Magic Band work to open the hotel door on hotel number two and then on hotel number three on the appropriate dates when the room becomes available? I know that my AP will work but I get a bit fuzzy on the room reservations. Many thanks.

Magic Bands can be linked to any of your stays. So as you move and check in to each new Disney hotel, the front desk can zap them to link to your room (if they don't already). The MBs will be on your profile and can be used for any future Disney vacations etc. So you are good to go as long as they are active on your account (which they should be because they were purchased as part of your reservation).

Most of the time, you should be good to go, but we’ve had splits where one or two bands wouldn’t unlock the door of resort two and we had to make a trip down to the desk to fix them. Hopefully you won’t have an issue, but if you do, it’s a quick fix. Enjoy!

Yes, they should work. I've found with split stays, it's easier to go to the front desk and let them check them before going to your room just in case. Sometimes, they think you are still at the previous resort. I also make sure to check out of resort #1 before moving on, sometimes you can call and do that, sometimes you have to go to the front desk.

Lol. That's like the rule for us But it's no big deal, as you say, just to get the desk to zap them.
