Need a referral for the current DVC purchase incentive?

We were thinking of renting this year to see if we like it, sorry if that is in the wrong place just wondering what people thaught of it. I know we would lose our money the 1st year but it would save from having to sell at a loss. Good or bad connents welcome.Thanks for your help.

I actually think that's a great idea if you're on the fence. DVC is a big investment (as well as a long-term one) so make sure it's something you really want to do. Also, don't think of it as wasting money -- chances are you were going to go to WDW anyway and will probably end up with better accommodations at a lower price than if you'd reserved a room directly thru Disney.

I was wondering if I could get a referral in case we do end up buying and they are offering a deal with one. Being that we're from Canada (Alberta) I believe we would have to make up our mind pretty quick and purchase while there. Been to WDW 2 times but have never stayed at a DVC resort before. Staying at BWV in a 1 bedroom this time. Thanks

We have never taken a DVC tour, but we are very interested in buying. I'm going to call Monday to talk to a guide about the process. Do we have to take a tour in order to buy? Should I have a referral ready when I call tomorrow?

You do not need a tour in order to buy, we bought based on what we saw online and through our own research, just PM'd you.

We just bought at AK on Friday! Wahooo! The current incentive program was too good to pass up. We were not committed to buying when we left home last Saturday, but DH (go figure ) was the one who took the first step on our second day there.He made all of the arrangements!
We met with Kevin M at DVC and he couldn't have been nicer and more informative. No hard sell,no doubletalk just information to make a decision.
Just arrived home yesterday, but looking forward to going back already!

can someone explain the referal to me?? We just bought and because we new someone the guide said he would use them as our referal and we would get a 500 visa card?? Why do they do this and do the people who are our referal get anything?? Also if I was to be someone elses referal what kind of info do I give them??

Congratulations on your purchase. Living in MA, you are able to receive a referral bonus. The amount varies based on the number of people you refer in a year. If you are a reference for someone else, just provide your name, city and state. That's usually all the DVC needs unless of course you have a common name then I would give your guide's name too.
