Well, she isn't much different . Every once in awhile she will show small signs that maybe she is waking up, but I guess it tires her out so much that it doesn't last long.

Thanks so much to everyone for the continued prayers. I read them to her when I go over there and visit...and some out of one of the disney guides .

Hopefully she hears me and will wake up soon...today is three weeks since the accident. It just breaks my heart .

My dear friend and fellow disney addict is awake. Granted, she isn't completley all better, but this weekend she opened her eyes, is looking around and is "communicating" with us.

Last Wed was the beginning, I went to visit and she just barely opened her eyes and when she saw me she "waved" . We have a friend at work that is hearing impaired so we have all learned a bit of sign language and much to my surprise, my friend started using sign language to communicate while I was there! Her dad said, "she's been waving those hands around all day " and when I told him that she was signing , he almost passed out!!

I immediately "quizzed" her on several words and letters to be sure that she was really in there talking to me and boy was she ever!! I am not very good and only know a few words, so I am sure she was frustrated at me!!

This weekend, she opened her eyes all the way and is very much telling people, in no uncertain terms that she wants the trache taken out of her throat! She is signing a bunch and when I called to check on her, they actually gave her the phone - she put it up to her ear - and she listened to me cry and carry on like a blubbering idiot (as did half of the people in my office building!!) . Anyway, she can't actually speak, but she was absolutely making noise at me to let me know that she was there and could hear me and I told her I would be there soon!

THANKS SO MUCH!

I am going over this evening and plan to tell her how people from all over have been praying and wishing her well. Thank you so much, as I know she wouldn't have come this far without all the thoughtful prayers.
