Need a Prayer

I will definately remember your friend, her family, and you in my prayers. I can't imagine how devastating this must be for you.
Always remember, Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust will help get you through anything. God Bless :grouphug:

Sending prayers, and the hope of God's grace and healing to your friend.

God bless you and both your families.

I will keep your friend in my thoughts and prayers.

Please know that when one is in a coma, they can still hear things, they respond to touch, talk, and music. I, myself, was in a coma for four weeks when I was thirty-three, and also have spoken to many, many people who have survived comas, and they have told me that the recall certain things, they remember many things. And almost all believe that prayer was instumental in the survival/recovery.

I am sooo sorry about your friend and am sending prayers for you and your friend! Be patient, unfortunately God has his own timing. My youngest daughter was on life support for almost 17 days over the winter and in the hospital for over 6 weeks. It is the hardest thing to watch. As the last poster said talk to her , read to her, play her favorite music or movies if they have a tv in her room. (I played Toy Story all the time in the ICU and music all the time)

Blessings,
Kim

Praying here in Alabama...just moved from TN!

I firmly believe that angels talk to them while in a coma. I know she's being given that time to heal and rest....I pray that God will work a wonder in keeping her from any damage. Please keep us updated on how we can pray for her or her family!

Thanks so much for the continued prayers and support. I suppose that by now she is on prayer lists all over the country  . She still isn't responding to anything, but they moved her from ICU to a regular room, so at least now we can see her more often. She is breathing on her own, but has a trache (sp?) so they are discussing moving her to a "long term care facility" :guilty: ...

I plan to spend a couple hours reading to her this weekend and will read to her all the prayers that you have sent...and maybe a few pages from the Passporter ;) .

She is now only two rooms down from her husband, so he is able to get over to her and see her much easier now and her children 7 and 12 are able to visit.

Well, back to ICU...they fear she has or is coming down with pneumonia... :( I wish she would just wake up!

Again, thanks for all the prayers, they are so comforting...

My thoughts are with you and this family. God's work is often a mystery, but some good will come from all of this. Keep the faith - and bless you for being there when she and her family need you.

More Prayers, thoughts and pixie dust:wizard: :wizard: heading her way, for her, her family and you.

Praying that she makes a full recovery soon!!:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

My prayers are with your friend and her family.

"Dear God, please hear our prayer for your disciple in Christ. I am lifting her up to You. She needs Your healing touch so that she may rejoin her husband and children. They need her so much. Please, God, be with her and her family in this dark hour. I pray for wisdom, knowledge, and guidance for the doctors and nurses caring for them. In Christ's name I pray, Amen"

My thoughts and prayers are with your friend and her family and friends.

I had a trach, too (was on the vent for eight weeks when i was thirty-three)

The trach can seem scary but it is much more comfortable than being intubated through the mouth.

I hope that she is doing better. If they mention ARDS and you would like more info on that, feel free to PM me.

Eileen

May the Lord touch your friend's body in a mighty way. May He pour out His grace on this husband and children that they may have the strength to endure this trial. Amen

What a aweful thing to happen. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Good luck and keep a positive attitude.
