I tried to videotape (yes- TAPE!!! 
) my kids' Christmas show at school on Thursday and the camera is dead. It had been good to us- bought it to videotape on our WDW land and sea honeymoon in January 2000 and have not looked into replacing it because it still worked. Well, now I can't get it to do anything, so I need advice.
I just looked at some stores' websites and I have no idea what type of camera we will need. We have 3 kids- the 2 older ones are involved in sports and I video some of each season. We also have a baby so we will be trying to get his milestones as well. I am looking for something inexpensive- just had to purchase a new camera in October. I also am clueless about memory for these new camcorders. HELP!!!!
