I never knew so many people didn't like the abbreviations! I admit I didn't know them at first, but as soon as I looked them up, I figured "OK, accepted board shorthand" and went with it. (In fact, a couple of times I've actually caught myself about to use DH or DS in real life! - That's when I know I've been on here too much and need a break.)

P.S. - Why is the word abbreviations so long?

Also, I think your new dh needs to let you be on the disboards. Is he that controlling that you need to type something other than dh to strangers?
