As one who had flight cancelled a day+ prior to
an August trip, it will be a awhile before that thot doesn’t cross my mind before future trips. Wasn’t a happy camper to drive 12 hrs to beach. will say that three subsequent RT Flights have been uneventful.
we visited WDW multiple times once WDW reopened starting in 9/20. different vibe but, still enjoyed them all
Did cancel the ‘20 Thanksgiving trip as the numbers/unvaxxed combo gave me serious pause, as there are immuno issues in our family.
thrice jabbed before this year’s September trip, felt comfortable. Well, until we attended the packed after hour events. Lost count of the number of times people would cough or sneeze and not bother to make an attempt to cover their mouths
One man was challenged over removing his mask in crowded monorail to loudly sneeze. His excuse? said there was no way he was going to wear a snotty mask all day
It didn’t keep us from returning for thanksgiving trip this year. It was then that the increasingly relatively stationary crowds had me doing some deep thinking. Enough that I cancelled a mid January long weekend.
Do figure the skies will part again by the time we are set to return pre Easter
OP unfortunately it appears people can be reinfected with different variants, especially as their protection wanes with time. That was a real
Slap Upside the head to process for me
Ive hadfamily members infected, one is designated a long hauler. They are absolutely not the same person now but, alive. Another did pass & it seems nearly every day an employee or patient in my Mom’s nursing home is testing positive. It’s honestly nothing you ever expect will happen to you & yours
That said, while rooting for your trip to happen, nobody can make this decision but you. Good luck!
