Need a little help with FP+ on MDE app

Hi all,

We're traveling in November and have everything setup in MDE with resort, tickets, dining, etc already linked on the website. I currently have the FP button locked on the MDE website until the 60 day mark (this happened last time we went and it opened properly at day 60). However, I've seen a number of people access the FP calendar through their mobile app prior to hitting day 60 - it just shows 30 days out until their day 60, but I am having trouble getting mine to work. Every time I get to the FP screen, it tells me "Not So Fast" and then asks me to either buy tickets or link tickets for each person. We already have the tickets linked, but I thought maybe I needed to link them again. When I put in the confirmation code, it gave me the message that it was already linked under my name, but then didn't let me proceed. I'm concerned because when our reservation got switched to free dining earlier this year, our non-park hopper tickets were replaced by park hopper tickets, however our non-park hoppers still show up on my account in addition to the park hoppers. My TA called and Disney said everything is fine and the correct tickets are linked, but if that was the case, I would think the mobile app wouldn't be causing issues. Has anyone had this happen? The call center will open again tomorrow, so if other people aren't having this same issue, I'll call and talk to someone later this week.

There are no issues. Your window will open up at 60 days.

From the Booking Windows post in the FP FAQ, notice the distinction between the two situations:

  • For onsite guests with a room/ticket package, the 60-day prebooking window will not appear until the 60-day mark. Before this point, it is normal for various members and/or their tickets to not appear on the MDX account. The entire traveling party and their tickets will appear at the 60-day mark in almost all cases. It is generally not possible to practice booking FPs beforehand in this situation.
  • For onsite guests with a room-only reservation, the 60-day prebooking window will not appear until the 60-day mark, assuming valid tickets are attached to the account. Before this point only a 30-day window (from the current day) will be active, again assuming valid tickets are attached to the account. It is possible to practice booking FPs using this 30-day window.

Ah thank you! I read that page 5 times I swear but didn't notice. We have a room only for one night followed by a package, so I guess I abide by the package rules since that's what our tickets are attached to.

You may want to review the Split Stays post also, there are some FP-scheduling nuances to your SS circumstances.

I had the same "Not So Fast" screen yesterday, as I could have sworn I as at the 60 day mark. But my countdown was actually showing 60 days, 23 hours, etc. so I was unable to log in. But I was there this morning and got all by FP selections. Even FOP!

Awesome!!! Thanks for sharing!

It's a little scary when you KNOW the tickets are linked and all looks ready on your end and you can't make the selections. I wish Disney had another screen that simply said, "You are all set, but can't make your selections until XXXXXX" rather than the Not So Fast screen!

Completely agree! Just tell me it's not time....not that something is wrong (only for it not to really be wrong).
