We will be staying at RPR during our stay but we need a decent, inexpensive hotel for the first night we arrive in Orlando. We will arrive very late, after 10pm on Thursday night and want to be at RPR by 6am on Friday morning to check in and get our passes to the park. Does anyone have any suggestions for a fairly inexpensive hotel near enough to universal to spend the night? We don't mind driving 15 minutes or so to get a lesser price as we will barely be in the room.

Thanks!

We recently stayed at Drury Inn, which was 5 minutes from Universal. Had a nice evening buffet with free drinks (including beer and mixed drinks), plus a large breakfast buffet.

The Holiday Inn across from Universal is also good since you're probably arriving too late and leaving too early to enjoy the extras at drury. We've stayed there several times with no complaints.

Just checked price and I think the holiday inn is more the budget as we will only get there to sleep then be out before 6am. Drury looks nice for next stay with lots of great amenities.

We have had luck going on Hotwire to find an arrival night hotel in the area.

I'm considering this too. Will RPR hold our luggage securely if we check in at 6-7 am to get the EPU passes for that day? Do we have to do anything special to make sure the park passes are linked to the EP?

Luggage is securely held
You get a claim ticket for retrieving it when ready to pick it up
Park tickets are not linked to the world

You create the world photo at a kiosk in the hotel or at guest service in the parks
You will insert your hotel key card in the kiosk to create the photo id
