So, a dear friend, who knows I am a Disney addict, said, hey we are finally going to Disneyland--help me! It will be her, her dh, and 2 dd's (7 & 9 y.o. ish) I will be educating her on FPs and getting her to book the princesses lunch or dinner ASAP--because here is the kicker, they are going to be flying down on 1/31, and have the whole day of Sunday 2/1 and Monday 2/2 in the parks, before coming back early on the 3rd.

I looked at historic hours... 8-11 & 10-8 for like dates a year ago... Looks like F! wasn't running those nights, but WOC and fireworks were at least on Sunday.

Here's where I need to catch up... I know there will be lots of refurbs... so I need to prepare her for that.

I don't think they are staying on-site (will find out) so I think MMs are out... so my plan would be to send her to the park that doesn't have MM... which days are which now?

And is WOC going into refurb in January for awhile? I think I read that... which would mean only getting them to go to F! and fireworks hopefully on Sunday night.

What else am I missing thinking about? We've never done this time of the year--and for sure never just 2 days. I am going to try not to stress them out, so hopefully they will fall in love with everything and have to come back!

Thanks for any extra help you can give me... I have till Sunday to come up with a plan of attack before we talk on the phone lol :teacher:

At this moment, there are big questions about fireworks, Fantasmic!, and WoC.
Fireworks: It's not known which fireworks show (if any) will be shown after Believe ends and before the (rumored) 60th anniversary show begins. If something is presented, it will probably be only on Fridays through Sunday, with an occasional Monday (e.g., President's Day).
WoC: WoC is also rumored to be undergoing a major refurb this winter/early spring.
Fantasmic!: There are rumors that Fantasmic! will run nightly while WoC is undergoing refurb. Still no official word.
So, for your friend, I would just say that the evening entertainment schedule is in flux and not known at this point.

This has the general schedule:

Sunday and Monday are both generally DCA EMH days (MM and EMH are the same morning for DL, there is no MM for DCA).

Unknown at this time, but probably a pretty good bet that WoC is going down for a lengthy refurb after the holidays end.

What else am I missing thinking about?
Sherry, over on the Christmas/Holiday SuperThread, linked this Micechat article that summarizes a lot of the rumored closures and changes that are coming in the winter/early spring. You might take a look at it and see what may affect your friend's trip.

Thanks figment! I learned they are staying at carousel... Which is good for proximity for them. Gotta get her on booking Ariel's, which is a must do for them... But I checked the DL site and it had no table times for all over January it seemed, let alone feb 1st. I wonder what is up with that?

I just looked at Ariel's and there are times available for breakfast and lunch on the 1st. My guess is that the booking window just opened for the start of February so things might not be loaded into the system yet. The nice thing about DLR is that making dining reservations right at the 60-day mark is not as critical. It's also possible that if WoC is down for that period, they might be making dinner reservations as they try to figure out what to do in place of the WoC dining packages.
