Just dropped off my youngest child, DD4, at first day of PreK. :( Seems like yesterday I was bringing her home from the hospital. And now she's all grown up. When teacher said time for parents to leave she just said "Bye, see you guys in a little while."
I know she'll do fine. She is very outgoing. Its me that is having the sad moment. Only a few hrs till I pick her up and I am excited about having some time to myself. My oldest DS is 15 and since he was born I haven't really had time at home w/out kids (also have DS 9).

Think about how cute it will be when she starts getting excited about show and tell, or being in the school play. Or when she makes you things in art class. :)

I know it's hard but I think you'll be surprised how quickly you'll adjust and grow to love that time alone.

Look what a great child you're raising--she's self-confident enough to go to school without a backward glance. That's a good thing, you know!

Thanks guys. I knew I could come here for some cheering up. I am starting a list of "projects" I would like to get done on my "freetime"so that will keep my occupied for a while.

NMAmy - In my heart I know I'll be fine but since she my last one its just kind of bitter-sweet.

EsmeraldaX - She already promised me a picture if they paint today. I still have the ones my DSs did when they were younger out where she can see them and this is one of the things she has been most excited about - making a picture for Mommy at school. Guess all the ones she's made at home just aren't the same.

Thanks again for the support
