Not a happy bunny at the moment went out yesterday into town was walking through marks and spencer when I slipped on the floor and went right down on my arm and hip it did hurt but I was more embrassed then hurt . Anyway went home and did have some pain in my arm but nothing I could not cope with , after a restless night and then getting up this morning to find my elbow very swollen I went to A&E xray , see the doctor and now I have my arm in a coller and cuff and have to go back to the fracture clinic on friday as My elbow may be broken :scared1:now really fed up, any one know how long it will take to heal if it is broken :confused3

:hug: sorry don't know the recovery time. Hope its not too sore

I had a radial head fracture back in February - so not as bad as a break. I'd fallen ice skating and my hand hit the ice but the damage occurred at my elbow. I drove back from the rink but by the time I got home my arm had swollen considerably just above the elbow.

That took about 3 weeks to stop aching and probably 3 months for me to regain full strength - I'd usually forget it was weak and try to pick up a shopping bag and suddenly realise that I couldn't.

But with all breaks it will depend on the severity of the break and your age. I'm 47 so probably not a fast healer.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you've just bruised it.

ouch, hope it gets heals quickly for you

ohhhh and ouch - you poor thing, :hug:was the floor slippery or wet?

Hope you feel better soon, some choccies might help:flower3:

Oh no, poor thing!

When I broke my arm it was in a cast for 7 weeks and weak for a while after, but that was a proper break and I was a growing child so I'd assume it would be a much quicker healing time for an adult with a small fracture/break.

I'd bet you'll be totally fine when you go on your hols!

oh dear, sounds horrible, I hope you feel better soon
