Need a good response for "You're going AGAIN?"

Just back from another wonderful trip at the world. First thing coworkers ask is "How was your vacation?" When we respond "Great!" we start to get the inevitable "I can't believe you go there all the time! You mean you are actually planning on going back in January?". It's never said nicely, and I never know how to respond. I can never think of the right thing to say in the moment. How do I succinctly tell these rude people that Disney World rocks and they are just ignorant??? (Aside from those exact words!)

My response: "You're not? How sad!" :lmao:

My DH, having a very dry sense of humor would probably say something like:

Well Disney has recruited me for this experiment, they want to see how many times a person can go to WDW till they go crazy. I'm not even near that stage yet so I have a looooonnng way to go and a lot more trips.

I know these people a little to well. They are jealous. When they ask ' Are you goining again?' I say sure. Were you thinking of coming along?":rotfl2:
To others that might take that offensive I say " Ive been all over the world, (Disney World) and still havn't seen everything in it.":thumbsup2

When I posted this thread I was hoping for a couple good responses, and you guys have so many good ones I think I am going to print up the whole thread and leave it in my desk, so next time when I'm asked "AGAIN?" I will say, "Hold on a sec..." and grab my cheat sheet and stun em with these awesome responses!
Thanks everyone, and keep them coming! :disrocks:

I get so sick of my fiancés mom saying "YOUR GOING AGAIN" to us. Who cares! I wish people would mind their own business and keep to their pessamistic selves.

Normally I will just make them feel bad and say "well it's the only good memories I have as a kid!" (which is slightly but not completely true, and it gets them to shut up)

Here is an article I keep handy about this subject.

It's called the head shakers haven't got a clue:

It is a must read for all who hear, "your going to WDW AGAIN!"

This is awesome. I sent to several people who always ask me this question...

DH always says that there are other places to go (he goes becasue it make and and DS happy) and I do realize that. As someelse posted earlier, kids are only kids once. When DS is older and can better apreciate things we plan on taking him to places like Gettyburg and Williamsburg (2 places we have been before he was born) and also would like to take him to other places we haven't been (Grand Canyon, Boston, etc)

I always answer people who ask me this question (These are usually the people who go to Wildwood for a week. I usually say to them, yeah just what I want to do, spent 1500 - 2000 for a place in Wildwood, have to pay massive amounts of money for the boardwalk, and still have to clean all week...No thank you, I can spend the same amount of time/money at WDW and really be on vacation:goodvibes

I say, "Chyeah we're going again!" and walk away. I'm so sick of people saying that. It always comes out rudely!

I know I love this article. It is so true too.

When relatives find out we're able to go to WDW again (first time was in 2005) they're gonna wonder why. They think we should save our money. So, I'm not telling anyone! So there!

For us, it's a much anticipated luxury, a treat, if you will, for the grandkids plus my daughter & me. They're good kids & deserve to have some fun.

Someday, I think it would be a real treat to celebrate Christmas in WDW.

I do the same thing, other than my own grown kids I tell no one in my family half the time we go down to visit....my own Mom called me one of "Those Disney Crazy People". Since she lives hundreds of miles away I do not tell them anymore.

Oh, I absolutely loved this! I do feel better! WDW has it all: great entertainment, rides, food, friendly staff, and it is clean. There's something for all of us, why would I want to go somewhere else??? Besides, we've only hit the tip of the DisneyIceberg of what to do!!

Be nice to me and I'll give you all my secrets when you take your grandkids!

My reply is," If I have to tell you, you would not understand!" I leave it at that. :thumbsup2

I have said to a couple of people.........." um yeah, you buyin' another pack of cigarettes!"

People who have wondered how i can afford to go to Disney so often especially when i lived WAY up north, were smokers, and i so i did a comparative on how much they spend in a year on cigarettes VS me going to disney the cost was about the same. (BUT, i usally took 2 one week vacations a year) Because most times i was doing budget DISNEY!
BUT at least i was there.

And they were a bit shocked!

I get the same thing from certain family members. I explain it this way. Yes we are not rich but my children have so many toys and the toys are taking over our lives. My husband and I have decided that it is more worthwhile to invest in experiences and memories than in anymore toys. I also went every year to the beach as a child and I am soooooo over the beach. I hate sand in my swimsuit, my car, and that nasty ride or walk back to the hotel. I am a city girl and need excitement, and Disney does the trick.

Smartykat, that is exactly how we feel! DD is an only child, and she has so much- lots of toys, clothes, etc- that we don't need to buy her any more things. We save for or go on vacations instead for her b'day and holidays- we have a great time, she makes wonderful memories and has interesting experiences, and we don't clutter up the house with more stuff she won't play with.
