Need a good cheap camera

I am looking for a good camera for my DSD. She will be almost 9. I'm not worried about her breaking it, more concerned about her losing it, so I don't want to spend too much on it. I do need it to take decent indoor and outdoor pictures though. Suggestions?

Best Buy has their Insigna brand digital camera that I bought for my dd7. It is easy to easy and takes great pictures. I found it on sale for 69 or 79 around christmas time, sorry I don't remember the exact price. Kodak Easy Share is also a good option. I had a hard time finding one with simple buttons & not too complicated looking. I debated between the two but in the end the price is what got me...

What do you consider cheap? I bought a refurbished Kodak from their website around 3 years ago. It came with a full warranty and is still working just fine. DS uses it now as we have upgraded our camera. It might be worth taking a look:

I purchased an Olympus one that is Waterproof, Shockproof, and Freeze Proof from Beachcamera.com. I got it when it was on clearance and I think I paid around $80 for it last year. You might want to check out http://www.beachcamera.com or www.adorama.com to see what they have on sale and clearance.
