Need a dinner suggestion

Hi all,
I am joining a group at AKL next week. All meals and activities except dinner on Saturday are planned for us. I am wondering if there is a place that you think would be good for 5 or 6 adults to have dinner for about $30 per person. I am scheduled to see La Nouba at 9pm that night, so thought I should make a 6:30pm request at a place or two for that evening. The $30 price point is the average I want to stay with as I don't know the other people and can't assume that any more than that is reasonable. I sincerely appreciate any suggestions you may have. (we have park hopper passes)

Thanks,
Tracey

Welcome to the Dis

If it were me, i would want to be sure to make a ressie somewhere in Downtown Disney so you can walk to LaNouba after and don't have to deal with transportation, or lack of :) .

That said, i would suggest Portobello Yacht Club. You can check pricing and menus for here and others at http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm

Not on here is Raglan Road a new Irish restaurant, you can look on this board for some recent reviews.

Good luck.

Trying to go to park and then travel to DTD would be hard. Like the above poster, I wouls suggest DTD. We also like Portobello Yacht Club.

You could do dinner at a resort. Boma at AKL or Spoodles at the Boardwalk would be good choices. Another choice in that price range would be the seafood buffet at Cape May at the Beach Club. Just allow enough travel time.

Have fun! :)

If you don't have Boma in your plans for some other day, I'd recommend it highly! It's one of my "must do-s" every trip. Have a nice early dinner, wander over for La Nouba and stop somewhere for drinks and dessert after!

Welcome to the DIS Boards!

If you don't have plans for Boma, I think that would be an excellent choice. If you'll be dining there another evening, then I agree with the suggestion of a DTD restaurant. As you can see, Portobello Yacht Club gets very high reviews. Wolfgang Puck and House of Blues are also good choices at DTD. Here is the link to menus for the restaurants here on the DIS:

As DaveT1 pointed out, Raglan Road is a new DTD option. You can find the menu in this thread:
