I just heard about this yesterday, and if I were still a 4-H leader, I'd probably give it a shot (keeping in mind that we have horses).
A private school in a neighboring town in doing Pony Patty. They will sell tickets with a number on them. Then they'll take a pasture and mark it with a grid (you see where this is going, don't you
). They they'll put the pony in the pasture. Whichever block he/she decides to "share the wealth" in, will be the winning number! (At this point last night, my DH wanted to know what happens if it doesn't all fall in one square - I have no idea, but I would guess they'd go with where the most landed ).
You gotta admit, it's different!
