Summer months are comming and I do not want to be stuck wearing sneakers all the time. I have a heel spur on each foot so elongated standing will kill me. We have our trip coming in august and would love to find a good sandal that wont leave me crying back at the room. Any suggestions would be great!

I bought a Naturalizer sandal last year before we went to NYC. It has 3 straps across the top and a strap around the back of the ankle. It closes with velcro. They rocked! I'm still wearing them and they are in perfect shape.

They were pricy but they are leather and have help up amazingly well.

I've tossed almost all of my sandals in favor of Teva Mush flip flops.

We just got back from WDW last week, and I wore them every single day comfortably..no blisters, no sweaty feet from sneakers, no lower back ache from the cheap flip flops, and when they got wet, the dried quickly. Yes, they're flip flops, but they have an arch and the bottom is very cushy to walk on.

TRy Merrells. I have plantar fascitis which is often mistaken for a heel spur. They are expensive but if they work you'll definitely get the wear out of them.

I would recommend Birkenstocks. I have been dealing with various foot issues and my podiatrist has forbidden me to wear flip flops or any style you need to hold on with your toe. I am on my third pair I wear them so much -- one pair survived a 3 month backpacking tour of Europe and were still in decent shape but p u! lol

I don't love the original Birks but like the ones with three smaller straps (as opposed to two). My current ones (that I LOVE) are the Cozumel style. They have the same footbed but don't make me feel like I look like an old lady (no offence, but I'm 23.....all I want is to wear pretty flip flops)

I attached a picture of the "cozumel" style -- actually I didn't because it didn't work. But if you search "Birkenstock Cozumel"

I just got a Quark sandal at Marshall's and I'm already loving it! We leave in 24days so it will be really broken in by the time we go :rotfl2:

I'm not much of a Croc person since I have narrow feet and they just don't fit right.

I went to dicks last night and picked up a pair of crocs slip flops

I seriously feel like I am walking on air!! i am hoping that when I wear them for a long period of time I don't feel the pain! But from what I can tell, I am going to love them:cool1:

I bought a pair of Fitflops (they featured them on Oprah). I love mine, very comfy and cute

Hey there! Can you tell me what material is on the underside of the straps? I wanted to try these, but I don't know if the material is soft or not. Thanks!

If looking for flip flops, I say go for Sanuk Yoga Mats. They're pretty cute and they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Really, just imagine walking on a yoga mat. I've tried Reefs (recommended on the boards & similar to Teva Mush) but they really dug into the top of my feet. I've gone on long walks in my Yoga Mats with no problems at all, though. Also, try to get the kids version if possible -- they likely fit up to a women's size 7 1/2 or so. I think I saved about 20% this way. http://www.amazon.com/Sanuk-Little-...r_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=apparel&qid=1212372696&sr=1-2

I found a pair of these at the local salvation Army the week of our disney trip last fall and LOVED them. Lots of breathable cushion, the staps stretch, flex heel no skid. Lots of colors.
