I hang out over on the budget board.

Going in May with DH. Adult son will drive and join us. So, we need a room with a bit of privacy. (A room with a queen bed and some separation from another living/sleeping area is our idea). A microwave would be great but we don't need a full kitchen.

Which hotels have mini suites at cheap prices? We have a car but would rather not drive too far.

THANKS.

Buena Vista Suites. Has 2 Queens seperated by door from Living room with pull out sofa. We are booked through DreamsUnlimited .... :thumbsup2

Marriott Courtyard at Vista Center in Lake Buena Vista has suites and I just booked a three night stay where the third night was free. Avg cost for regular room $66 a night. I don't know if the deal works for thier two room suites, but you might try!

It does work for suites! Just checked for a three night stay early in May. $119 a night with every third night free. So for three nights avg cost is around $80

Comes with a fridge, microwave and maybe a stove top (can't really recall)

I love the location just outside of DTD, easy commute to the parks.

I have Quality Suites Lake Buena Vista booked for three nights in june for only 69.99 from their homepage. Two room suite with full kitchen and awesome reviews on tripadvisor.:cool1:

How about Homewood suites off of I-Drive. They offer free breakfast and an evening meal for free. Thay have a one bedroom suites with kitchen and living room

Hi there,

You may not need a full kitchen, but it never hurts... nor does having your own washer & dryer. You can really lighten your packing if you can toss on a load of wash just before you go to bed, and dry it while you have breakfast.

There are tons of 1 and 2 bedroom condos in the area, many of which are available for $65 or less (yay) per night. Check out vrbo.com. We did, once upon a time, and will never be satisfied with a hotel/motel or suite again. We've stayed in everything from the condos at Oak Plantations to a 5 bedroom/5 bath home in Windsor Hills last Nov. More than satisfied with every single one. There are some fantastic locations, too. WH is just minutes from WDW and has some of the nicest resort facilities.

Good luck, and have fun!

This is EXACTLY why I LOVE these boards. I thought I was soooo slick when I found Quality Suites LBV for $79 a night...only to be one-up'd by kimmyann. Of course, I had to investigate her rate (which I can't get for my stay) but it did cause me to look harder for a better rate.... I had forgotten to mention my AAA membership. YAY! Some savings! Thanks kimmyann.

Not that anyone asked, but here's why I'm excited about Quality Suites LBV. We always grab a one night stay outside of Disney before our DVC stay. It's great to find somewhere nearby but cheap. The additional kitchen area allows me to prep alot of the food we'll bring into our studio. I'll hard boil some eggs, prepare tuna salad etc. The DVC studio's only have refrigerators and microwaves so the meal prep in the room is very limited. Now add to the mix a great price for one night, very good ratings on tripadvisor, free internet, free breakfast and participation in SWA rapid rewards....this place is a win, win, win!!!! :3dglasses

Danenrox, I really don't know how I got that rate, I just stumbled onto it, I did not use AAA or anything. Which we are staying there Sun-Wed. I looked it up again and it is now $89 for my dates, guess I just got lucky. Between the reviews and the breakfast it is about the best deal I could find. Have you stayed here before? We are staying for our "after Disney" part of vacation so we can visit the busch parks.

Quality Suites Lake Buena Vista looks like a good possibility for us.

However, I'm trying to find a suite hotel or something similar that has a shuttle service to Seaworld and/or Aquatica. Need three beds - 2 queens and a sofa okay. Have a DS and DD - they don't like sleeping together anymore.
