Need 400+ pts for 4/30-5/09

At $10 per point, that's a pretty hefty price tag. What are you looking for, there may be ways to save money?

It looks like this thread got moved without getting locked on the DVC board. Here's the response I posted there today.

First, I don't have points to rent for that time so this (and the deleted post) were not directed as such. Since you are looking for 9 nights in a 2 BR at either BWV or BCV, the total is 461 points. The reason is because you are looking for two weekends and a total of four weekend nights. Weekend nights are signficantly higher points per night than weekdays. AT $10 pp, it's still cheaper than the rack rate at $6345 plus tax. If I were you, I'd consider several options. These would include checking with CRO to see what discounts might be available, even if you had to buy an annual pass to get a larger discount, you might be far better off. You could also look at paying cash just for one or both weekends either staying at the same resort or trying a different one. Or you could do 5 to 7 nights at DVC and then consider off property like at Universal. Renting points for two weekends is not the best value overall for most situations. Good luck.
