We are leaving for WDW Oct 17th. We have a room and the ASM for 4 nights, but we are now thinking of staying the entire week and renting a condo. Do you all have any name of places that are relatively close to WDW and reasonably priced (and clean)?

I've recommended the Wyndham Palms Resort and Country Club several times on this board. We stayed there in July and it was really very nice. We had a two bedroom, two bath condo with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, big screen tv and screened-in balcony. The condo was brand new and 1,500 square feet. It had a golf course, pools, mini-golf, etc. We got this condo for $89 per night on hotelkingdom.com We did not have to attend a timeshare presentation for this price.

The complex was about a five minute drive from WDW.

It was a bargain at that price. I had no problems using hotelkingdom.com

I have gotten 2 bedroom condos on Skyauction for $250

Others on this board have used them and gotten Orange Lake and loved it(I have not been lucky enough to get this property yet)

I also agree that Hotelkingdom has great rates.

We just returned from one week at Summerfield Suites LBV and one at Orange Lake . We liked both. SS was $86 per night on expedia, and OLCC was $250 on Skyauction. If you are interested in either, let me know what I can tell you about them.

How did you like Orange Lake? We are going again with skyauction and loved it there...What section were you in?

We loved Orange Lake! I really don't think my DH will allow us to stay in a reg. hotel room down there again! We were in East Village which was very nice. It did make it difficult to head in different directions. My guys loved Splash Lagoon, but I would have liked to go shopping a couple of evenings.

All in all, it was terrific, and probably where we will end up next time!

They used to have an internal shuttle. This was helpful for families who wanted to split up for onsite activities. Was this available?

They did have the shuttle, but when I asked at the front desk about it, they said it can take an hour to make the circle. My guys are young , so waiting around is counter-productive to our sanity! And I usuallly just wanted to go to the grocery, or better yet, the parks. :)
