Need 2 bedrooms (i.e. 3 beds). Park Vue or GCH?

Would have liked a suite hotel with 2 bedrooms but everything seems to be booked. We need 3 beds. Only going to DL for a day and a half (Thurs and Fri) in March. The GCH is double the price of PV. The cost of GCH is not out of the question but it the idea of paying so much more does irk me. I guess I just want to know:

Would the PV be likely to be noisier than a standard at GCH?
How are the beds at each hotel?
Are there perks at GCH that would justify the much higher price?
Is there anyone who has stayed at GCH and then stayed off-site (at PV or other) and been just as happy with their stay off-site?

I realize that ultimately I am the one who has to decide for myself but just want some input from experienced DL park-goers.

Also open to any other suggestions.

Thanks

Being frugal, (ok,cheap). I'd opt for the Park Vue,but that's just me. :confused3

Not being cheap I would pick PV. We love the GCH but for a short stay requiring 2 rooms I would take the PV.

The beds at the PV (in the rooms that we have stayed in) are pillow top, and very soft.
We have never been bothered by noise at the PV, but we always ask for a room upstairs (so we don't hear clomping feet overhead) and sleep with the fan running all night long to drown out any potential disturbances.

Think of how you will feel ON THE WAY HOME from vacation. Will you be glad that you saved all that $$ by sleeping at the PV? Or will you be glad that you spent the extra money to sleep at the beautiful Grand? Good luck deciding....and have a great trip!

Well as someone who's stayed *1 night 9/09* at the GCH I can say that our room wasn't anything special ~ it was dark & $$$. Anyone can enjoy the beautiful lobby/restaraunts - you don't have to be a guest of the hotel to do those things.

OP ~ I'd stay off site.

We stayed at PVI in August in their 2 bedroom suite. It has 3 queens and was perfect for our family of 5- each teen got their own bed!

We've stayed at PVI 3 times now and haven't once noticed any noise. The beds were comfy and the staff treated us well.

PVI is the 2nd closest hotel to the parks. Seeing as how your visit is so short, walking time is valuable. :)

Thanks everyone,

Feeling better and better about the Park Vue. I think that is the route we will take.

We are staying at the BWPPI next month and they offered us a mini-suite. 2 beds and a pull out couch... worth looking into!
