We are planing to spend Sunday morning from open 'till 11am (or maybe its 12) to catch our DCL bus for our 1st ever cruise:bounce:
So does any one have some ideas on what to see/do in such a short time? we are traviling with DS 7 so it would be for his enjoyment the most.
The passporter and brenbams books are just giving me to much info!!!
So lets see how many opinions I can get from the DIS:D

Well, hit the safri first thing. The other big hits for me would be, It's tough to be a bug, Dinosaur (though it might be a little intense if he does not go for the rough rides) The Lion King show, and if you will have time to change before your departure, The kali river ride. We love AK and spend all day here but these would be my hit for a AM.

Get there for Gate Opening. Head straight for the Safari. When the Safari is over look at what time the first Lion King show starts... if it's less than 20 minutes to the show starts, then head over there, otherwise go over to the Dino land and ride the Dinosaur ride or Triceratop Spin (Depending on your child). Then go to the Lion King show.

After the Lion King show, look at the show times... You will probably be able to head over and see Tarzan.
If you still have time go and see It's tough to be a bug.

For the rest of the time (if there is any left) I would go back to Dinoland and play (spend money) on Carnival games, or let my son play in the Bone Yard playground.

While I like Kali River Rapids, I would avoid it because you are getting on a bus to go on the cruise and you will probably get wet on this ride.

The cruise is great, have a fabulous time. :Pinkbounc

As the sign says something like you will get wet and you may get soaked!

Have a great 1/2 day and good cruise as well

Thanks
Jason

Remember that FastPass is available for Kilimanjaro Safari, It's Tough to be a Bug, Dinosaur and Triceratops Spin.

Skip Rafiki's Planet Watch---the train ride there and back takes too much time for what's there.

Consider not trying to squeeze too much in. A lot of enjoying AK is about wandering through the trails, enjoying the live entertainment, picking out the animals in the Tree of Life, etc.

I have read somewhere and I guess I should call DCL directly. When you check your carryon luggage at the DCL desk at the front entrance to AK, they will give you fast passes for two of the fast pass rides. We are planning on doing the dinosausr ride(it was broke down the last time we were in AK) and the Tree of Life. If times allows us we will try to get in some of the other things. Ak is large and spread out. Alot of walkways that have beautiful animals. Its really easy to get turned around.

The check in time is 12:15!!! Happy planning 35 more days for me:>

We usually follow the EXACT plan that cindy_k explained. It has worked great for us. :D

Thanks every one:)
you all have made it much easier for us! we did figure we would not try to get to much in and just enjoy the park for the little amount of time we have.
Vic: I think I read that somewhere too! That would sure be nice,
I think I'll call and see, of coruse it may be a wonderfull suprise to just get them without knowing a head of time
42 days and I can't wait!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
