When I used to do my shopping all the time at Sainsburys I used to redeem my Nectar points against my shopping bills every now and then. I think they could be redeemed in multiples of £2.50.

Has this rule changed? I mainly shop at Tesco now but still use Sainsburys occasionally. The last time I tried redeeming my points (I think I had about £5 worth) they said I couldn't because I didn't have enough points. :confused3 Do you now need to have enough points to be able to "pay" for your shopping in full rather than just use them to offset part of it?

I work for Sainsburys so I will try and explain it to you. If it is not your "home store" (where you 1st had your card swipped) you never used to be able to. Now though you can use your points in any sainsburys after 48 hrs since you shopped there and providing you shop there at least once every 3 months.

i.e. say your home store was shop A but you went to shop B, after 48 hrs you will be able to use your points in shop B as well as shop A. Just as long as you have spent a minimum £2.50.

Hope that isn't too complicated. Failing that you could phone Nectar and get the Nectar vouchers mailed to you.

Just out of interest what did it say at the bottom of your receipt? did it say your points will be added to your home store or did it give you a total amount.
