Does anyone know if there is a place to use a nebulizer in the parks? Are the baby care centers set up for it? Has anyone ever needed to do this? Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have never had to bring ours to a park, but I think First Aid would be the best place to try. If for some reason not there, maybe you could in the Baby Centers.

You may want to post on the disabilities board, I saw posts regarding this before, I think that's where I read about First Aid.

Have a great trip!

The DIS never ceases to amaze me. I was JUST going to post about nebulizers.

Actually, I'm wondering if they have nebulizers in the first aid areas. It would be great if we could just bring the meds and possibly the tubing, etc and not worry about the machine itself. I am thinking I may call Disney to ask if no one knows.

Off to check the DISabilities board! :)

I have a portable nebulizers that I carry everywhere with me. It's only about the size of the old walkman radios. It has a battery pack should you be somewhere without electricity and an adapter for a car cigarette lighter. It all fits nicely into what looks like a small camera case.
No matter what kind you have, you only need an outlet to plug it in and all the stores would let you plug in for an emergency.

So do most people just carry them with them through the park? We will have a stroller but I would be hesitant to leave there while we ear on rides. I wish I had the time to get a portable but we leave on Thursday!

Check your pharmacy - they may carry them

I would call and ask what the first aid center has on hand. I just, well, uh, (don't flame me for this) substitute my own albuterol inhaler for my son's medicine if he needs it when we are out somewhere. (Pediatrician won't give him an inhaler because does not think a 3 year old can handle it, but it is amazing what mom can teach a kid to do!)

Do you have a spacer for him? That can be helpful too.

You might want to consider the age of your child also. When we were there in Sept, DS#2 was 7m old and needed it every 6 hours at that time. We just headed back to the hotel because it was easier on him. At 14m, we do have a portable since when he gets sick he can need to use it every 3 hours; our insurance co. arranged to have one delivered to us at Dr. request. From the time the request was made until we received it, it was only hours.
