Someone here suggested Neatimage for noise reduction - whoever you were (I can't find the post anymore), THANK YOU! I bit the bullet yesterday and bought it after I had 12800 ISO pictures delivered for poster production. Man did they have noise. What that little program did is amazing! I went ahead and used it on a few of my very noise Disney pictures. Holy. Moly. These are comparison pics from a 100% crop of a shot taken on Ariel's ride. The focus was on Ariel off to the side with f1.8 set on the lens, hence Sebastian isn't quite as sharp. I love what noise reduction did with Eric's statue in the back!
Without any editing, straight out of Adobe camera raw. ISO 1600 on a very old EOS Kiss Rebel (300D)
Cleaned up solely with Neatimage in Photoshop
Another try with a shot from IASW, again 100% crop on a ISO 1600 from the same camera.

I've never been able to achieve anything in this quality, even with Topaz Denoise. I just figured I'd post my results and say thanks to whoever it was that pointed out this great tool! I think I will happily use ISO 3200 on my cam from now on....
