I do the thing with planter holes to keep the dirt from washing out when the water drains. It really works :thumbsup2.

Someone on Project Runway made a dress out of coffee filters. :thumbsup2

This is a cute idea! I don't drink enough coffee and they do tend to sit around collecting dust. The greasy foods one is a good idea, I go through paper towels too often when I fry stuff.

We make watercolor butterflies with them using washable markers...so easy and PRETTY! :goodvibes

Love some of the other ideas, though...I'm going to save that list...thanks!~

:rotfl2:All I can think of is that the coffee fiter people are freaking out over the Keurig pod type things that are selling now and are afraid of their market disappearing and they came up with this list!:rotfl2:

But really some are great ideas! I have to get some I guess particularly for the cast iron skillet! Right now I'm using parchment paper but I think coffee filters are cheaper??

One of my cousins is a teacher and she showed me the watercolor butterflies but she is drops of food coloring on the filters it came out pretty. I think washable markers method would be a bit cleaner.

I use them for snack holders for my kids. They are the perfect size, really inexpensive, and hold popcorn, chips, etc so much better than just putting stuff on a paper plate or paper towels.

I do this every year but I have the kids use Crayola markers. They color the filter however they want, then you scrunch it up in the middle, put a clothespin on it and using a spray bottle, squirt water on it. When they dry I attach a magnet to the back and some little google eyes and a pipecleaner for the antenae. The kids love them and they come out really cute.

And here I was just using them in my coffee maker :). Who knew they were so useful in other ways. There are a few on that list that I'm definitley going to do, thanks OP.

My cousin did the same method too but the food coloring would stain a lot of stuff. I will tell her about method it's seems to be a little bit cleaner.
