neat places to eat

Thanks to DIS i learned about white water snack beef nachos. Dh and I shared one 2 weeks ago and loved it. One was good to share , we both felt satisified but next visit we want our own each-lol! I've been craving thier nacho -lol! We went around 7pm and it was quiet. There were 2 other families there. Its a lil simple place nothing fancy but oh so good :)

It used to be much bigger back in the day... We used to order 1 beef nachos and 1 chicken nachos for our family of 4...

AustinTink I have not done this yet, we tried to get a table at the bar last November and they were already full at 7:45 (8:00 WOC show), but I have heard it is a nice experience. Maybe next year we will get a chance.

what is that pace called? It peaks my interest as well!:)

I remember people posting last year that there was a cover charge for staying in the bar during WOC. Don't know if there still is, you'd have to check.

I think you are right. I have never eaten at Cove Bar during WOC, but I think last summer they were charging $10 pp if you wanted to eat during WOC. Wonder if they are still doing that...

I've always wanted to try to the lobster nachos but with it being called the Cove Bar is it family friendly? Traveling with a 10 year old. Would she be allowed in?

She is allowed everywhere except at the actual bar. We ate there plenty with our daughter during our last trip.

We had a very bad experience with the lobster nachos, however.

Thanks for the info. Good to know it would be okay. Not so great to hear about a bad experience! I may want to think on this one a while!

It may have been a one-off. Others seem to enjoy them so maybe it was an off day. I will say that they were very gracious when we sent them back and they made it right with us.

Bengal BBQ in Adventureland! The bacon wrapped asparagus is a must have for every trip. The sliced mangos with lime sold at a lot of fruit stands. Beignets at the window at the French Market. They serve mint julips and Mickey-shaped beignets behind the French Market at a small window on the RR tracks side of the building.

I was really being silly. I totally agree that off days are bound to happen. I think you can go anywhere and love the food and another someone could have had a bad experience. We usually tend to go ahead and try it for ourselves if it sounds good..... so there will most likely be a trip to the Cove Bar in our future.
