Getting really excited just two more sleeps and me and the DDs will be on our way to a week at DLP.

Just a couple of questions if anyone can help.

Can I exchange my 5 day hopper for a AP?
I know I have read about this somewhere but not sure where and have not been able to find the thread.

I seem to remember someone doing it on their last day but could I do it on my first day and get the coat of the 5 day hopper taken of the cost of an AP?

Also really worried have booked the Dream castle hotel? Anyone been recently? What is the bus like to the parks?

Also have only been in June before and that was some years ago, are the parks busy next week?

Thanks:goodvibes

If your tickets are inclusive in your package, then you can not exchange them for an annual pass. I'm not sure if you can exchange them if it's a ticket you have bought separately - I know you can exchange 1 day tickets, but I don't know about anything more than that.

If you bought the hoppers separately, then you can only get a one-day ticket amount discount on your AP. So, because of the discounts with APs, if you're going to do it, do it on your first day, then start using your AP for the shopping and restaurant discounts.

Fiona from this board stayed at the Dream Castle just a couple of weeks ago, and seemed very impressed :goodvibes .

Next week is some of English and Scottish schools half term holidays, so I would imagine the parks would be quite busy, but not mobbed midweek. My sister hadn't been to DLRP for a couple of years until she came with us last week, and she thought it was busier than when she'd visited before. Prepare yourself for queues for Crush at almost all times of the day :confused3 .

Thanks for the fast response.

As for the AP I surpose I need to work out if the discounts would be worth changing the ticket for.

I have just bought 20 shares so was hoping to be able to use them next time as trying to talk DH into going again next year and as a member of share holders club can get discount then. I should of been more organised but first trip without DH at the start of it and been trying to ensure he will be ok till he can join us.

I think it is about 8 years since last went to DLP!

We stayed at the Dream Castle for our May trip - I was very impressed with this hotel. DD loved the bunk beds and the fact she had a curtain she could pull around the bunk bed gave her (and us!) some privacy. Breakfast was really nice - hot and cold food was avaliable. The bus stops right outside the entrance and we never experienced a full bus and we went May half term. If we were going to stay off site again I would love to stay here again.

Scottish schools are back on Monday:sad1: (I'm a teracher so back at work!) English schools still of though. We bought our dream passes the day before we came back because our tickets were part of a package. If you check on your tickets as long as they don't say forfait rahter than a price in euros on them you can claim some money back on annual pass purchases. We saved loads though even in just 1 1/2 days on shopping (which we left to the last minute) and on our last few meals.

Check to see if your tickets have a value listed on them. If they do you would only get a day discounted as Elaine says :)

My nephews school (East of Scotland) goes back tomorrow, but my friends kids (on Skye) are off next week.
