Hello all, good news today is quite a bit warmer than yesterday, got chapped lips because it was so cold here in WDW. The maximum temp was 54F today a bit better hitting a near balmy 64F, tomorrow normal service resumes with temps back in the 70s. Last two nights it actually hit 32F/ 0 in metric money !!!

I saw that it was 0C on my desktop weather box thing last night. I said "It's not supposed to be the same temperature in Orlando as it is in UK!!" :scared1:

Though I would much prefer to freeze to death in Disney rather than freeze to death at home! :cold:

I bet the queues were non-existent! My sister and I went in December 2010 and it was freezing too! We walked on everything all day! :goodvibes

Enjoy the rest of your trip - stay warm! :goodvibes

We were there then too, we walked on everything for about 3 days while it was practically Baltic! But as you say I'd rather be freezing there than here, and the hot chocolate in the parks is always a good warmer!:goodvibes

almost always does that for a few days over xmas-new year/early jan for a few days. GOOD TIME TO DO ALL THE BIG RIDES!!

Worst was 2000 when the temps went down on 28th but actually stayed down for about 10 days- we bailed out on day four and went to the everglades & marco island for a few days even then it still was just reaching high 50's . We done DC in the coldest day it has ever been open -when we arrived it was 0 and then a max temp of 4 for the day. They were so good heating up towels and giving out free hot choc tea ect (before it was an all in day). but the sand was soooooo cold we had to carry our daughter across it, that had been her xmas pressie form santa so we had to go! We went on new years eve 2007(?) and we got torrential rain all day then just as it was our turn to swim there was an thunderstorm and we had to get out. We finaly got in at 5.45 just as it started to get dark and still pouring so recorings and photos were really bad. Also the dolphins were not for playing by then. They offered us a another day but we were heading home the next day. We tried again to go in jan 2009 but again the temp was near zero and our daughter was just a 6 weeks out of hospital (major opp) and still in recovery stages so DC let us cancel and get a refund. Not booking again for this summers trip, in july, as we will prob end up getting a hurricane, as I'm sure DC is jinxed for us.

We feel really sorry for those that go to orlando thinking that it will be hot all through the winter time , you even see them wrapped in hotel blankets when its really cold. I wish the TC's would make more reff to the fact that it can be cold and even very cold at this time.

Enjoy the rest of your trip hope the weather picks up again soon.

If your like us, the worst day in Disney is better than the best day in work!!!!!
Have a great time.

We too are over here at the moment and the day that you mentioned we were getting onto the Dream for a 4 night cruise. OMG, I had been so looking forward to it but as soon as I got I felt like I wanted to get right back off again!!! It was HORRIBLE!! All 4000 people trying to get into Cabanas at the same time as noone wanted to sit outside/swim in the pool etc etc... Butlins at sea came to mind!! All 1000 children (including my own) running around cabanas!

The sailaway party everyone was stood shivering and the only saving grace was the lifeboat drill when we were all so huddled together that we managed to keep warm for a few minutes!!:grouphug:

That night the sea was so choppy that our much looked forward to meal at Palo was cut short when motion sickness took over! The 10ft waves didn't help much!!

Thankfully when we got to the Bahamas everything got much better and CC was a beautiful day.

It looks like a great day today so we're making the most of it before the day of thunder storms tomorrow!

Enjoy the rest of your trip.
Jane.
