Hi all.

We are now 77 days out from our trip.

I know 60 days out you can book your FP+ (or whatever the bands are called)

We have never been to Disney world before. We have one day for each park and ideally do not want to park hop as I need a Electronic Scooter.

Also we want to watch as many of the night shows as possible.. we loved world of colour in california adventure. So any tips on what shows to watch and where we should watch them.. (restaurant or find a spot (and where))

Thank you.

The only thing I know is I need a FP for elsa and anna

Tell us about who is going-- their ages and genders, and what you suspect about their bravery when it comes to rides. (For example, I will never go on Tower of Terror-- I do NOT do vertical drops.)

Our upcoming trip involves 11 people from 3 different households. In doing the FP's, I made up a list. Maybe it will help you, even though our youngest person is 11 years old:

FP+ FOR EVERYONE
Peter Pan
Buzz Lightyear
Haunted Mansion
Jungle Cruise
Pirates of Caribbean
Philharmagic
Monster’s Laugh Floor

Soarin’
Maelstrom
Journey into Imagination
Spaceship Earth
Turtle Talk

Toy Story Mania
Great Movie Ride
Indy Jones
Lights Motor Action Stunts
Muppet 3D
Voyage of Little Mermaid

Kali River Rapids
Safari
Lion King
Finding Nemo
Tough to be a Bug

FP+ FOR MOST
Big Thunder
Seven Dwarfs
Splash

Test Track
Mission Space

Star Tours

FP+ FOR A FEW
Space Mountain
Barnstormer
Indy Speedway (only my son really loves this one)
Magic Carpets (only my youngest daughter loves this one)

Rock n Roller Coaster
Tower of Terror

Everest
Dinosaur

Thanks for your reply.

I have my husband and me.
Then our children are 12, 8, 5 and 3. The 12 and 8 year olds went on california screamin but the twelve year old cried and screamed about it.

Then littler two are brave and both are taller than 110cm.

Thanks again

I just PM'd you our FP+ selections. You can go to youtube and check the "scary factor" for the roller coasters.

Also, take a look at what's in Fantasyland. Other than Peter Pan, we tend to skip a lot of that area because my kids have outgrown it.

Check out the FP+ thread in my signature. It has a rated FP+ list to help you get the most bang for you FP+ buck. Basically the rides where the lines would be longest you would want to FP+ since it will help eliminate waits.

PS - If you do rope drop you probably want to start your FP+ times around 11am or even a touch later when the park is busiest...

One more thing I would highly recommend the book:

The complete idiots guide to Walt Disney World by Doug Ingersoll

It does a RIDE BY RIDE breakdown with rankings, who would like it, and a brief overview of the ride. I would go through that book ride by ride and just say Yes or No to get a list of rides you likely want to hit.

Finally I would put that list into Touringplans.com pay for the subscription and make a daily touring plan with all the rides. It can be used to optimize a schedule for your specific day with your specific rides.

PS - in the end just take a deep breath and know that in the end you will be at WDW and be having a great time even if you miss 1 or 2 FP+ times or pick the wrong ride

That's huge.

If you get there and the kids balk at a particular ride, go to the kiosk and change your FP.

You and your kids are going to have a fabulous time. There's plenty there for everyone. So FP is really just a way to ensure a shorter wait on the things you're pretty sure everyone will enjoy... it's a bonus on what's already going to be a great vacation. You can still get to see all the rest of the stuff, particularly with some careful planning.

Can you maybe book a Fantasmic! dinner reservation, which comes with reserved seating? That's my favorite night show in all of the parks. But then, you may have already seen that in Disneyland?

I'll be honest, I would use my FP+ for rides, and then jsut budget in time to get seats for shows and fireworks. You get so few fastpasses now, I hate to waste one on a square foot of viewing space when I can get similar by just sacrificing a little waiting time.

If one kid hated California Screaming, they may hate Rockin' Roller Coaster. That's the only one I really don't like, because I hate the "blast off" in the beginning.

Thanks very much.

Im looking into all these ideas now.

Im grateful for coming on the boards because I found out about free dining and good info like this.

It makes me nervous seeing that you need to pre book everything because we are such do what you want when you want people we will prob struggle sticking to a massive schedule.

Thanks again for all the advice.

You can still do what you want. FP just ensures that, should you choose to take advantage of it, you can have shorter lines at your top 3 rides per day. Should you be doing something else you're enjoying more-- or if your kids are in meltdown stage, desperate for lunch or for pool time-- you can switch or even ignore your FPs.

Know that you can't possibly see and do it all in one trip.. or 2 or 3.

The very best advice I ever got about a WDW vacation is not to give any one ride or meal or experience or show the power to "Make" your vacation. The point is to have a wonderful family experience together. It will only be as wonderful as the most miserable person at any particular moment, whoever that person might be. So, for the greater good, you've got to make sure that the least miserable person (under normal circumstances) is happy. Sore feet, hunger, the need for Air Conditioning-- these are the things that make someone cranky in WDW, and the things you'll want to accomodate.

Great. Thats a good idea I have always seemingly got one in meltdown mode.

I think of I chill the others will to. Its only if I force them to be at everything at exact times. I think ill leave spaces in everything I book or plan.

We use scooter also. A lot of the rides work with you. Do no like this ride but haunted mansion has a seperate entrance for you. Pirates do not have to park outside ride and walk.

Disney will work with you and when you make you fast passes you can call my Disney experience ad they will help.:cool1:
