Nearest Super Walmart

Help


Could someone please tell me where the nearest super Walmart is to Disney? I need directions or an address. Also, not sure what our travel will be...either a rent a car or taxi. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there! Going to the Super Walmart this Tuesday from AKV - have been several times from OKW. Not sure of all the road names - we drive by the DTD hotels towards the Crossroads. At the Crossroads we turn right, and the Super Walmart is about 5 minutes down that road on your right - think it's by Poincietta Blvd (spelling?). We took a cab two years ago there and back, and it cost more than a rental car. We are renting a car for the first week since we have other plans at the beginning of our trip away from WDW, but we usually rent a car for the day and do our grocery/souvie run to Walmart. With all the codes and rate drops before the trip, we usually get a good deal (have a full-size for 8 days for $141 w/taxes!).

That works -- the road is 535. Another faster way (depending on where in the world you are coming from) is to exit Disney via Epcot Centre Drive which becomes 536, and when you hit 535 turn right. It's not too far down on the right side. Ham Ham's google map shows this really well.

Incidentally, it wasn't as large as I expected. I live near the Supercentre Wal-mart in Stouffville and it's much bigger and nicer. If you're going for groceries, you're better off at Publix or WinnDixie. They did have good Disney souvenirs such as T-shirts for $5.

Be warned...

Depending on where you are staying at Disney .. taxi cab costs could be very very close to as much for a return trip as renting a car for the entire day..

Keep going past Walmart.... til you can go no further... W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy. Turn left at the lights and it is on your left hand side.... worth the trip if you're gonna do Walmart anyway!
