Nearest Grocery Store to Kidani?

Need the nearest grocery store to Kidani. We plan to bring most everything with us but need some basics like milk, bread, eggs. etc.... Thanks!!

As you leave Kidani, make a right turn onto Sherbeth Rd, go to 192, make a right and go about 2-3 miles, there's a Publix on the right and a Super Target on the left.. The map placement of Publix isn't accurate but it is in the right direction

anyone know what publix beer selection is like? we usually go to wal mart but they just carry mostly bud,miller,etc. there is a little liquor store in front of it but it has a limited, although much better selection.

Were locals and shop Publix all the time. They have a decent beer selection. Some Publix locations also have a Publix Liquor store near by.

I am a big fan of Publix and Target at home, and that is also where we shop in Orlando. I think the Publix on 192 has a decent beer and wine selection. Super Target is ok as well, but Publix has a better selection IIRC. We usually go to the Super Target if we only need a few things like snacks and cereal, Publix if we are buying meats or deli items.

I do most of my grocery shopping at home at Wal Mart. How does Publix's prices compare to Wal Mart? Where is the nearest Wal Mart to Kidani? I always go out the side entrance to WDW on 535 (I think) and go about 3 miles to the WM on the right. Is there a closer one, or faster way to get to that one from Kidani?

I believe the closest Walmart to Kidani will be one on US 27 about a mile north of 192. Make your way to 192 by Sherberth Road. Then go right, all the way to the end at US 27, it is about 5 miles on 192. Then go North on US 27 and the Walmart is on the right a little less than a mile. Total one way distance from Kidani is about 8 miles. The Walmart on 535 is at least 9 miles one way, if you avoid toll roads.

Wishful thinking here. but, i would love to not have to rent a car so i can stock up on some food and water. what do you think of the ordering of groceries from some of the places that offer it? is there an extra charge for delivery and is the cost of the food very expensive? Thanks for helping me with this.

No Shuttle to grocery store is available. They do have a limited store on site for essentials, but selection is very limited and prices are Disney high. I know a lot of Dis'ers do a grocery delivery either through the DVC system or through a different vendor. You could probably search for Grocery Delivery on the boards and get a lot of info.

The grocery delivery services most mention on these boards are Garden Grocer and WeGoShop. I have not used GG but WGS. You pay the actual price of your item plus a delivery charge and tip. You can request specific brands and what store you prefer.

There are two grocery stores just down the street from Kidani if you want to do your own shopping. I believe they are a Super Target and a Publix.

Taxi fare should not be more than $15 each way. If you'd rather not tip valet/bell to help bring your groceries to your room, when you return to Kidani, have the taxi driver enter the garage and drop you off at the elevator closest to your room.

This last trip I put in a huge order with WeGoShop She did a fantastic job, but I wish I had just gone shopping on my own as I had ordered way too much food and would have noticed that as I was shopping. We must have left $40 in unopened food in the room, I hope the housekeeper used the items or distributed them to other housekeepers.
