Nearest Airport to Hilton Head

Could anyone tell me what is the closest airport to Hilton Head? I'm from the Boston area and am confused as to which airport - Charlotte, NC or Savannah, GA and then drive? I'd appreciate any help...also does anyone know if HH has a good supply of studios on hand. Thinking of planning a family reunion - need at least 3 studios...

There is a small airport at HH. However, as far as large airports are concerned, Savannah is your choice as it is much closer than Charlotte. The drive from Savannah takes about 45 minutes to an hour (from Charlotte you are looking at close to 3 hours)

There are 21 studios at HH (all coming from a 2BR lock-out).

We were at Hilton Head in September. We are also from Boston, (Stoughton actually). We flew USAir into Charlotte and then directly into Hilton Head. The cost is the same as flying to Savannah for us. It took less than 10 minutes to get from the resort to the airport and return the car at Hertz. We left ourselves an hour to do all that and had better than 45 minutes to sit in the airport and wait.

You'll love Hilton Head, its a great place to hang out and relax.
