Glad you found a way to the airport even if it cost $100.00. We don't want you guys roaming around NYC trying to find a way home! We had a great time meeting you both and everyone else! I hope we get to meet again!

Hey all,

Sounds like most, if not all, of us had a great time on the cruise! I know I saw many of the "green lei" people at the Sail-away party :thumbsup2

I was wondering if any of you had heard the "Bright Star" code called on the first sea day? It was late morning (I think) and they said "Bright Star, Deck 10, Palo's" Anyone know if it was a drill, or something. I don't see anything on the boards, and was wondering if anyone was hurt/went overboard/etc. i don't think I have ever heard a "Bright Star" drill before. Anyway, just wondering. Wanted to pray if someone had been hurt or something...

I hope to try to post some pics of the trip maybe this weekend. I am trying to catch up on all the work and report cards I missed being out from work the last 4 school days! I knew I'd get slammed as soon as I got back!

Hope you all had a Magical Time :cool1:

I just wanted to post this and say this had to be the best disney cruise out of the 8 that we have taken so far. The fe gifts were fantastic, they were orginial and very imagintive. We met some truly great people and hope to meet them in the future. The only drawback was the $100.00 cab ride to newark airport, after arriving at 9:10 am we had to sit at the airport until 5 pm our flight left. Thanks to the FAB 5 for setting up everything you did a great job. hope to see you all on another disney cruise in the future.

I'm glad you guys made it to the airport ok. I'm so glad we go to meet you guys and all the other amazing Dis-ers. It was so fun to meet so many people who have the Disney bug :-) Thank you everyone!!

Here is a picture of the Champagne Girls get together.... I love it!

I was having brunch in Palo when the Bright Star code was called. I was amazed at how quickly the entire team sprang into action. Out of respect for the family involved, I will not post details of what happened, but I will see that the medical team is awesome, both in their treatment of the patient and in protecting the privacy of those people dining with the patient. The entrance to Palo was blocked while treatment was underway, and no diners were permitted to leave. However, I didn't hear anyone complaining that they had to stay and eat a bit more.

You should have signed up for the midtown Manhatten tour from the ship, the price was almost the same as the taxi and we got to go to the top of Rockfeller Center for panoramic view of the city, then a bus around downtown stopping at Grand Central Terminal for bite to eat before being dropped off at Newark close to 1pm

We were also dining in Palo, I felt so bad the family/friends at the table.
The crew was amazing, everyone went above and beyond to help.
My husband went over to see if he could help (he is a Law Enforcement Officer/First responder). I hope and pray all is well with her.

Yes, I remember your husband offering to help. I thought the whole incident was beautifully handled. I felt so sorry for the people involved, but they seemed to be in good hands with caring people. And that quick and caring response is just one of the many reasons we choose to cruise DCL.

My DS and DDIL are also EMTs, and DS is a Sheriff's Officer (Telecommunications/911), and they always emphasized how important it is to keep things calm at the scene. I thought the Palo staff did a wonderful job, and I mentioned that on my comment card, and to the Hotel Director when I ran into him.

I was asked if he made it to every room. Unfortunately, someone did not follow the directions given. The list, pens and lanyard did not stay with him and it ended up on someone's door participating in the FE, not roaming gnome. There were appx 6 rooms left on the list. I could not see sending the Gnome with a list not attached and expect it to get back to me if it didn't work with the clear directions I posted. Anyway, to those of you who missed the gnome, sorry, and please thank whomever can't follow directions and/or did not keep the lanyard with the gnome. For those of you who participated, thanks! I hope you had fun with it!

I was one of the rooms left on the list- I kept checking my room door that last night to make sure I wasn't missing him or slowing him down at all. Sorry the Gnome's Roam hit some travel turbulence.

We had a great time, our first cruise with out the kids.

I did miss my 2 grandchildren a lot. Glad to be back home with them.

I really hope DCL does another northern cruise and adds a few more days and a few more ports.

Thanks for the picture Barb.

I agree that I would like to see the Canadian cruise with a few more ports, maybe down to Quebec, and a bit more time at the ports we did get to. We always seem to feel that we do not get enough time at ports of call.

To whomever gave the red pirate mugs as an FE gift. We love ours! I know you had your name on them but now I can't remember who it was. Anyway we use them all the time!

It was me! So glad you liked them!!!

I finally managed to get my pictures uploaded.

You can find them here (uses Flash) or here (non-Flash).

The pictures aren't captioned yet, and they're sorted by date and location, but not by the order in which they were taken. I'll be doing a bit more editing on the pictures and the page, but the links won't change now!

It ended up on our door (no pens), and we had no idea what it was. Someone told us to sign it and pass it on, and we did! Sorry if we did something wrong . . . or put it on the wrong door after ours . . .

We loved all the gifts. Especially the coasters!

Well thank God it ended up on your door, as Hope Sparkles took it and returned it to me. My guess is that whomever gave it to you didn't follow the directions! Thanks for participating though!!
