Originally both myself and Hope Sparkles signed up for them. After much discussion as to whether this was an email scam, and no clear answer as to the validity, we removed our email addresses. I questioned the validity of it, cost, and if I needed to do anything. I think Christa and I were both concerned of viruses, spam so we removed our email addresses. Hi everyone! I haven't been around in a while. It was a busy summer with unexpected house maintenance.

Hoping for good weather this weekend (tomorrow) in the Mid-Atlantic and good weather on the cruise (Leslie who?).

Hello everyone.....Marilou and Tom here.....looking forward to seeing all on this great cruise. We sailed on the 15 night Hawaii cruise in April/May and just loved it on the Wonder. The Magic has always been our favorite ship so we are so looking forward to it. Would love lanyards if their are any to spare--we are in stateroom 8018--first time in a verandah--thanks DVC for the special offer....see ya real soon!

FYI For those interested in the Champagne Girls get together:
Per Hope Sparkles: Sea day: 12:30 wine, 2:30 beer, 4:00 margarita/tequilla, 10:30 cognac.


Since most ladies have expressed interest in either the wine or margarita/tequilla tastings, how about the get together the first sea day at 2:30 when the men will be able to go to the beer tastings .

Invited everyone on the FB page to this and created an event for it. I hope those husbands who have wives not on FB will invite them through there! I posted for 9/13 at 2:30; in between wine tasting at 12:30 and margarita at 4:00. I hope this time works for everyone..... Promenade Lounge??

OK, looks like it's settled. Kendzee scheduled the Champagne Girls meet at 2:30 on the first sea day (9/13) at 2:30 in the Promenade Lounge. Let's be sure to announce it at the embarkation day meet.

Remember: adults only, try to wear something pink, tiaras and pink boas optional, ordering alcohol optional.

Couple of almost last-minute questions:

* - Worst case scenario, how does uncooperative weather affect boarding? I ask because our "plan" is to wake up wicked early and trek down from Boston the morning we launch. I've heard horror stories of boats leaving port early so I wonder how big of a risk we're taking?

* - How are the deck parties affected by inclement weather? Do they move indoors or do the poor souls in the fursuits soldier on in the rain?

* - And on a much sillier note, what's all this about a green lei? Am I going to be kicked out of the DISboards meet if I don't have one?

Just returned from my business trip to Disneyland, so I'm trying to catch up on this thread. Only three days to prepare!

DH and I did the Dream last October when a tropical storm rolled through. The Sail Away party was moved into the Atrium, and even though we didn't get to hear the horn, it was still a lot of fun. They actually kept us in port because it was safer, and we wound up leaving around 3 am.

The Canadian Hurricane Centre continues to monitor the evolution of
Leslie. The storm continues to move very slowly over the colder
water which it has stirred up. The winds are estimated at just below
hurricane force based on hurricane hunter aircraft data from this
morning. The potential for Leslie to regain hurricane strength
increases on Sunday while it moves over warmer waters northeast of
Bermuda. Most of the computer models still show a slow northward
movement with acceleration early next week. Given the latest
developments Leslie will likely strengthen to category one.
However the storm is quite large with an extensive area of rainfall,
cloud cover and large waves ahead of it.

In general, the threat of Leslie affecting Nova Scotia has been
decreasing but is still large enough to bear watching.
For Newfoundland the threat of some impact is much greater with a
moderate probability of 40% for the Wednesday to Thursday time-frame.
This may seem contradictory to the official track forecast which
depicts the storm center near the Avalon Peninsula early Thursday.
It was noted this morning that a better consensus is developing
amongst the various models.

Finding Nemo 3D Movie Event
THE PLAN IS TO GO TO THE FIRST SHOWING DCL PROVIDES. PLEASE WEAR YOUR GREEN LEIS THAT YOU BOUGHT FOR THE DISMEET. THAT WAY WE CAN ALL GROUP TOGETHER IN THE THEATER. (At first when there were just a few us going I could call you all on the wave phone but now there are 18 + family going so now it would take me to long to call you all. "Just Keep Swimming" and we will all end up in a "school of DISers" watching a great movie! Enjoy!!

Most likely they will be showing Finding Nemo 3D either in the Walt Disney Theater or most definitely in the Buena Vista Theater starting on September 14th.
