Yep, I did it. Just purchased our tickets for our outbound leg of our combo WDW/Ft Myers trip for February Vacation of 2006!!!! At EXACTLY 3:01am East Coast Time, Delta rolled into their next day's availability. I just scored 3 tickets, BOS to MCO non-stop for $74 each. I can CERTAINLY live with that, since we paid $124 one way BOS to Ft Myers.

Let the games begin. I know there are others out there on similar timelines, so good luck

Oh, and we are actually skedaddling a few days early, and flying out the evening of Feb 14th (DS will miss 3 days of school).

Awesome! I am planning on doing the same thing for April 06 vacation. So you just got your tickets down right now, correct? When you purchase your return tickets, will you get any better deal or will the two prices just be added together?

I'm flying Delta Song, which books one-way fares, so I will in essence, have 2 different one-way intineraries.

I'm already ahead of the game as far as what we paid last year, so I'm thrilled with it.

Good Luck with your April dates.

I think we will be trying this for Feb 06 as well. We paid WAY too much for our April trip.

Question for you folks flying out of Boston.
Do you drive in, if so what long term parking has worked for you? (I really dont want to shovel the car out when we get home)
or
Do you use the shuttles? (We have done this a few times from Boston, but not since the extra security checks, do I am not sure how much extra time to allow)

thanks,

I want to make reservations with Delta flying from Flint, Michigan to Orlando for February 14 and coming back the 20th of 2006...Can't...too early...As soon as I can, I'll book them...There will be 9-10 of us..... :cool1:

disney's daughter--if you're flying Delta--you can book the February 14th outbound leg now. That's what day my flight to Florida is. Just book it as a one way. You should be able to book the 20th either next Saturday or Sunday.

Good Luck!!!!!!!

How do you know when the tickets will go on sale? I'd set the alarm to get up at 3:00 am if that's what did the trick? We don't fly much, only every few years and I have no tricks up my sleeve! (We want to do April vac next year and I could use some pointers!)

PattnFmly--shoot me a PM with your email address, and I will send you a copy of the spreadsheet I made, figuring my dates for February of next year so you can see how it works, and you can plug in your April dates.

I can tell you, that I was on www.flysong.com at exactly 3:00am, and the flights were NOT available, and at 3:01am they rolled into the next day.

MouseMagic, I use the shuttles. I like to be at the airport 2 hours ahead of my flight time, so I take the shuttle scheduled 2 1/2 hours ahead. I have never had a problem and especially find the inbound shuttle to work well. On the way home, waiting for the next shuttle when you are tired and really just want to be home, can be a drag.
