So it's come to this... I cannot decide what I want off BF for Xmas, so I'm turning to the CB for some help :teeth: and I cannot have them both!

It's a toss up between the Nintendo DS and the Playstation Portable.

NDS Pro's / PSP Con's:
- NDS is probably going to last longer than PSP, as far as games releases are concerned
- More games available on DS (due to backwards compatibility with GBA)
- Zelda is a Nintendo exclusive. 'Nuff said.
- Some great games/characters that have been around for a long time are available in some format on the DS (Mario, Tetris, etc.)

NDS Con's / PSP Pro's:
- Tomb Raider. Yes, TR:Legend is available on the DS, but it is a side-scroller. And I love TR. And the anniversary edition is coming out next year and will only be available on PSP, PS2 and PC.
- Loco Roco is so cute it's unbelievable. And it's only available on PSP.
- Probably more games that BF would like to play as well than are available on the DS.
- More newer 'must-haves' are on PSP rather than DS.

I really cannot decide. Of course, I would get both if I could (and maybe some day next year I will get the console that I don't have for Xmas this year)... but I must choose.

Please vote and give me your reasons/opinions - TIA!

OK, I am an 'older" gamer, to say the least. I have both. PSP... sits in my closet.... DS Lite.... use it a TON! IMO, the games are just more fun for the DS. I don't care about watching movies or TV on a PSP... that's what I have an iPod for! :teeth:

Definitely (although I don't use my iPod for movies either!) - I'm only interested in gaming, whichever console I get.

I'm an oldie too, but my situation is just the opposite. My DS lite will be going on Ebay soon while my PSP gets a workout! I love Hot Shots Golf, Lumines I and II, I have Cars, Suduko, NBA Live 06 and a Namco game that has PacMan, Galaga and a few other oldies. I don't use it for music or TV either, I just play games.
The only thing I liked on the DS was Super Mario, and I'll probably get a Wii at some point to play Mario games.

Oh, and remember..... DS Lite, is backwards compatible with ALL gameboy games, I believe. It definitely is with GBA games.
