NC Produce?

Heading your way next weekend. Am I am going to be able to find nice produce that is fresh at roadside stands or should I just buy everything at the grocery store when we stop before going to the beach? We ususally go in August so I am not sure if things are in season yet : ) Thanks!

you will be able to find yellow squash, zucchinni (sp), cucumbers, maybe some green beans. maybe some strawberries left. i don't know about garden fresh tomatoes-they come at the end of june or first of july usually. i don't know if the corn will be ripe then or not. maybe someone else can answer to that. have a safe trip to our great beaches.
