Just saw this on "The Hollywood Reporter"...

"The Making of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter," which gives viewers a sneak peak of the Universal Orlando Resort's new theme park attraction, runs Sunday, June 6

Sweet! We leave June 8th. Thanks for posting this Dave.

I remember when Disney would have TV specials like this on TV. Now that they OWN a network we get nothing!

Well, since it's at Universal, Disney probably didn't want to give that much publicity to the competition.

I think what Mike means is, now that Disney has their own Network they stopped doing TV Specials on Disney Parks. Before they owned ABC they paid the Networks to air special TV programs on the parks. At least I think that is what he meant.

Huh. Good point. They don't even do the "Journey TV" little Disney travel episodes anymore on On Demand.

Saw this on msnbc.com and wanted to share.

I saw this press release from Universal
The May 28 travel date was set to help consumers with vacation planning and does not represent the opening date for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort. Universal has announced that The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will open in Spring 2010. Specific opening information will come as soon as it is available.

Additionaly, I've seen on some other forums from people of high regard that a soft opening may happen in mid-April. Pure rumor and speculation though.

You're probably right, I admit to being a little tired while posting last night, went right over my head.

Yeah, the last shows I saw on the parks have been the old ones on the travel channel. I do watch them everytime I can tho.

And they charge extra to watch some of their cable channels. :confused3 When Disney was free, they had MUCH better programming

Thanks for the post on this special -- we're going to Universal next year and my daughter is already counting the days to see the Potter Park!
