NBA Hotel Questions

We are booked to stay at Gran Destino Tower (club level) October 7-13th. I just saw the news that the NBA was moving into three Disney World resorts starting in July and going through basically the end of our trip, Gran Destino being one of them. My husband is convinced we will be bumped, assuming they chose the resorts on the ability to have the players stay on a club level floor with access to privacy and their own kitchen. Any thought?

Unless the playoffs go very fast and end early, I would expect you will get moved.
They may not move you until they have a better idea of when the NBA will be done.

Game 7 of the Finals is Oct. 13. It's a best-of-7, so the earliest they would likely end would be Oct. 9/10. Because of all the accommodations and modifications being made, I wouldn't expect the resort to get cleared out for a few days after, maybe up to a week after the NBA leaves.

I would anticipate being moved and be pleasantly shocked if you're allowed to stay. I'm not even sure when they'll be reopening the non DVC properties as it is.

Also, as the teams are eliminated they are leaving immediately. By October 7, I would expect that there will only be about 2-4 teams even on the entire property. If they consolidate the teams to the same hotel or leave them where they start, I do not think I have ready.
