We are not planning on hitting the Universal parks on our next trip, but my 9 year-old son is MAJORLY into basketball. He knows every player on every team. He sits and watches old games from the 90's on TV--you get the point. Part of me doesn't even want to tell him about NBA City due to cost ;), but I know it would be the highlight of our trip for him. He'd probably want a jersey--or 8--but his birthday is shortly before our trip so I guess I could have him save his money for that.

So if we want to take him--I just want to verify that it is outside the park in the Citywalk, correct? We don't need park tickets? But we would still have to pay for parking, correct?

I can't really find menu prices--as a family of 4 would we be able to eat there for under $100?

Thanks for any help! :goodvibes

Sorry I can't remember too much about the prices, without drinks (mixed) or desserts you should come in under $100.

I do remember NBA having THE best food. It was #1 for us of the big 4 City Walk restaurants. They were all really good but NBA was awesome, especially the pizza!!

You don't need park tickets. You will have to park at Universal though.

Remember you can always pop in for a soda, appetizer or light dinner saving room to hit a favorite dessert spot on the way back to your room. You don't have to order a full dinner for everyone to enjoy the restaurant.

Do it! My family is a huge fan of NBA City, it's the restaurant we always hit when we first arrive in Orlando. My boys and I love/play basketball and the atmosphere there is so fun! Honestly, all the restaurants are going to be expensive so might as well go where you want!:thumbsup2

Love, love, love NBA City!

They have a great selection of jerseys and commemorative photos and games. No doubt your son will have a great time.

I want to say they might even give a AAA discount, but I'm not 100% sure. The food is very good. The servers are awesome. They have one of the best happy hours (4-7 nightly).

Enjoy!

Thanks OP and PPs! I didn't even know about this place. I think my DS would love it if we could fit it in. Lunch prices don't seem bad at all. Thanks again!

Oh.. I meant to ask, do you need reservations, or can you walk in? Thanks!

Food is great, and I'm not even a huge NBA fan. Best burger I've had at CityWalk was here, and that's saying something. Reasonably priced as Orlando theme parks go.

Should have no problem walking in, unless it was during a playoff game or something. It rarely gets busy.

Re: parking. Remember you'll have to pay $15 before 6:00 pm, only $3 after.

Don't think you would need reservations. It's a pretty big place. The worst wait I've ever seen (ever) was about 20 minutes ... and we've been there over New Year's Eve.

Close. Directly across the way from Margaritaville. Mville is the first restaurant you come to on the walking path from RPR to City Walk. NBA City is right across the bridge from Mville.

NBA City is awesome.......

for me, it's the best place for food...
i'm not into the sports thing so that is not why i eat there, i go to this place due to the great food and great service.....

if you son loves sports and you all love to eat, you need to take this place in for his birthday treat.........

How close is City Walk to Royal Pacific Hotel?

You can take a look in googlemaps. Put Universal Orlando into the search bar. Zoom in. You can then pull the little person onto the map and you can walk through most of City Walk and the two parks. It gives you a great idea of where everything is.

We just ate at NBA for the first time about a month ago and thought it was great. A lot of their food is made from scratch in-house so that probably helps. We will go there again for sure! :thumbsup2

It's $5 now after 6pm.
