Navigator Verandah???

To Idontknow:
Why would it start a war if you stated your opinions on why you like the nav veranda? I am actually interested to hear your opinions (and everyone else's for that matter). That's why I read these boards. If someone disagrees, fine, they can book a regular veranda.

Please do post your opinions....I am finding this thread very interesting. We were in a cat10 last time and will be this time too but when we do manage to upgrade for a future trip it will probably be the navigators veranda for us.

Idontknow, I am ALSO curious and would like to read your opinions. I was in a nice Cat 5 mid-ship with regular verandah last time and loved it except for it being a bit too breezy sometimes. This time I chose the Navigator's Verandah because I am travelling alone and couldn't see paying for a regular verandah, PLUS because the Cat 7 sounded nice and I am curious about what it is like. I think it might mean less wind, more privacy, yet still having my own open (BIG open porthole on the Wonder) view and fresh air. Even if I end up loving it, that doesn't mean I will think less of the regular verandah cabins and never stay in them, but it will mean the Cat 7 will always be a slightly more affordable option that I could be HAPPY with. So what is the potential for "war"? I think we are all really curious.

I'd like to hear the reasons too. I agree with taswira that it won't change my opinion of regular verandas and those who want them. My first two cruises were with regular verandas.

I don't think things would get as heated as the DVC board where people get really into thier "homes". Of course I don't get those debates either. I'm happy with what I pick and if it is something someone else doesn't like that is their problem not mine.

So please let us hear your reasons for the Navigator.

What a hoot! we're in cabin 7626, Hi neighbor!

Wow - what are the chances of that happening? Hello neighbor!

Check your PMs for the explination.

I think we will all be happy with our nav verandas. I chose the cat. for reasons that suite our family. I am really looking forward to our trip and can not wait! I really can not see spending the extra money for a fullview veranda, but that is just me. When we stayed at the Poly we were assigned the second floor. There are no balconies on the second floor, but the sliding glass door is there, you just can not go out. We were very happy with it. I don't think I would have liked the first floor with everyone being right there next to us as they walked by. A balcony would have been nice on the third floor, but we were very content with just having the huge door to open. But, that is just how we look at things. Everyone is different. There are people that would not be comfortable without the fullview veranda. If that is what makes them comfortable and happy, go for it. That is why we take vacations.....to relax and have a good time.

I think that for some families just having a porthole is a splurge, so the navigator's verandah would be wonderful! Actually I suspect that going on any Disney cruise would be great, no matter where your bed was :)

We considered it too, but decided to save it for next time, when we hope to have a (slightly) larger family.

Does anyone on the 9-15 have toddlers?
