Navigating the My Disney Experience (MDE) Web Site and App

I haven't read through all of the pages of this thread so I apologize if this has already been asked.

My hotel reservation is linked to my account and everything is there, but when I go to check-in online, it tells me that there are no reservations on my account that are eligible to check-in? I check-in in 10 days so I don't see why this would be an issue. This is what the error message says: "Sorry, we cannot locate any resort reservations eligible for check-in at this time. You may check-in to your resort stay 60 days prior to your arrival date." Like I said, my trip is in 10 days so I don't understand why it isn't letting me do it. Does anyone know what I should do?

Sounds like a bug. Check back tomorrow. If there's still an issue, call Disney and see what they say and make sure everything is in order.
 
I read through almost half of the thread so far, if I have duplicate issues and questions I am so sorry.

Our trip is booked for 2014, trying to set stuff up on my iphone MDE app.
initially i made up dummy account for my mom and dad who are travelling with us, but seeing as neither has a smart phone and I would be in charge of anything tech, i decided to delete these accounts, and just make them as people I manage in my account. took me all morning to find where I could add them in the app (even tho I had previously added my kids). Finally I got it figured out and went to put in my parents reservations and it says they are linked to another account (the one I deleted) I actually called Disney and the person on the tech support line said I had to recreate my moms account to re link them. Tried and it says it is an account that already exists, but if i try to log in with that account it says the info is wrong.

Anyone have any insight or am I calling Disney again.

Also is it correct that here in Canada we still do not have the new website with MDE on it, or is it just my computer??

I see on my ipad there is an update for MDE. Just installing now :-) hopefully some bug fixes etc!
 

It looks like the android version was updated to 1.4 now as well... I don't see any major changes... Still cannot see my DVC affiliation. All else seems to be the same. I can see my res, dining, tickets and all are associated to the correct folks so I guess I should be thankful it hasn't broken anything for me ;)

Here are the changes according to the Google Play site:

So it seems as the focus was for bring more informational content about the parks to the app... While I assume most folks are more worried about the the "content" directly related to themselves.

Hi, i have two questions hoping some of you are more experienced at this....If you are going on a Disney Cruise before of after a WDW trip, is there a way to add that? And, is there a way to go right to the dates you have entered for your next trip, instead of scrolling along? I am new to this, and find that feature annoying. Thanks.

I don't believe you can add a cruise at this time to MDE as it is specifically for WDW only.

You should be able to click on the calendar icon right next to the date to bring up a calendar. Then choose the appropriate date...

On the main MDE webpage, if you click one of the dates on the left under 'My Plans', it will take you directly to the Itinerary for that date.
 
I cannot change an incorrect birthdate of a family member travelling with me without deleting her whole profile but I can't delete her profile without taking her out of the whole MDE.

I am not liking this app very much right now.

I have the same issue. The website says that you have to call in to get that info changed. I had called in and the CM said they were not able to do it either. It does not really affect my travel and only a 10 day difference so I just decided to leave it.

I'll most likely go back in after the trip and delete the member completely and recreate as I manage the profiles anyways. I just don't want to do it now as tickets and reservations are all linked and muck with a pretty unstable system as it is...
 
I apologize if this has already been addressed somewhere in these 55 pages.....

On MDE my reservations are there and all is correct, but under tickets there are at least 2 if not 3 sets of tickets showing for each member in my party. I have changed our reservation a few times so I am assuming that is the issue. How do I change that? I cant figure it out nor find an actual technical services phone number to call or even an email. I want to be sure it is correct so when (or if) we are eligible for magic bands it isnt an issue.

A work around for Canadians..
1. Install firefox
2. Install the anonymoX extension for firefox
3. Set your Identity in anonymoX to US
4. Restart firefox and navigate to my Disney experience website

should now work.

I currently have 5 ADR's in place for our Thanksgiving trip, but only 2 are showing up on MDE. I tried to link the other 3 with no success. On my laptop it keeps telling me to enter the last name even though I already did. I tried in on my iPhone app and it tells me the confirmation and name do not match in Disney's database, even though my email confirmation has my name correctly and the confirmation number.

I made the reservations that are showing about a week ago, and the ones that are not showing were made in the last two days. I wouldn't bother me that much except that I want to cancel one of the ADR's that isn't showing.
 
So what's the latest on AP exchange certificates? I just received mine in the mail yesterday. MDX will only accept 12 digit codes and this green card voucher has about 18 digits, so the online chat person told me to call IT and they could link it to my account over the phone, but do I want to do that yet? We aren't going until next July (maybe one quickie weekend trip before that,) so maybe I want to wait until all this new stuff had been rolled out?

No need to worry about it right now...you won't be able to do anything until 60 days out...might as well wait it out instead of getting frustrated with IT :)
