Navigating MCO....Please Explain

One group is arriving on Air Train (B) and taking DME to PORFQ.
Does this seem correct?
1. exit plane and take shuttle to terminal, level 3....side B
2. head down to level 2, side B, to collect any checked bags*
3. continue down with baggage to Level 1 to get DME.

* Is it best to let Disney handle all luggage transfers? or take them onto the DME yourself?

Second group is arriving on American (A) and renting a car.
1. exit plane and take shuttle to terminal, level 3....side A.
2. How to access baggage and car rentals from terminal A????????

The part about stopping for luggage is wrong unless the flight lands after 10 PM.

It's absolutely best to let Magical Express get/deliver your luggage
Shortens the time between the plane and your resort
Disney tips Bell Services (saves you money)
You don't need to be in the room
...
Honestly, there are so many advantages to using all aspects of DME; they've been repeated here many times.
