what are the standby lines like for this ride lately? We'll be going on a pretty busy day (Monday,Am EMH sigh) and we have FP for FOP for later in the day..... I'd like to do the river ride earlier in the day... should we plan to rope drop it(not an hour before opening) at 8 am when emh opens? or is it smarter to avoid that first crush, and wait till a bit later? I was thinking do the river ride, then head out in the park before crowds get to other places, since we can come back later for FOP with FP+....

We got to AK on an EMH morning at about 7:30. We got through bag check and the tapstyles around 7:45 and they were already scanning bands and letting people walk back toward Pandora. We took our time wandering back there, entered the line for NRJ at around 8 am. The wait time was listed at 15 minutes, but we walked onto a boat. When we got off the ride, the wait time was listed at 20 minutes, I think.

What do you guys think the maximum standby wait time is "worth" waiting in line for Navi River? Just curious.

People say 15 to 30 minutes, depending on their tolerance for waits. It's not a ride known to wow people.

It's really pretty, but it's also short. I wouldn't wait more than 20-30 minutes for it. Anything more than that and I'd be disappointed, especially now that I've been on it already.

We were there a few weeks ago on a non-emh morning. Walked into park about 8:50 and got to Navi right at 9 am. Waited about 5 minutes to ride. Got off and rode again waiting about 20 minutes. By the time we were off that one line was up to 90 minutes. Not a ride I’d ever wait more than 30 minutes for. Obvious rope drop ride if you have FP for FoP since you have 10 easy minutes while everyone runs to the other ride to basically walk on that one. Beautiful, but basically small world through Pandora.

Im of the non-popular opinion that the ride is beautiful and worth it (one of my fav dark rides). still, i wouldnt wait more than 30 min. But to be fair, i dont want more than 30 min for other dark rides either.

thanks ya'll! I guess we'lltry to arrive a bit before 8 then and head over

Would you wait 30 minutes for Small World? If so, Navi is worth 30.

(I love Small World.)

this makes me think of our DL trip last year, when my DH INSISTED we needed to stand in line for small world....it took about 30-40 mins.to get on the ride..... we just did it even tho I knew it was an anomoly and of course I never ever saw a line except for that one time! But we did it. And he maintained it was totally worth it lol so I guess we would do that.

Whatever you enjoy can be worth it as long as it makes you happy.

Navi is shorter than SW, but much lusher. I think they're about equal in terms of enjoyment if you average it all out.

We fastpassed it and won't ride it again unless we have that option. There was a two and a half hour wait when we did that, and we were just blown away that people would wait that long. For FOP, absolutely. For River Passage? Nope. I would wait maybe 30 minutes.
